So I found an ebay scammer selling $10,000 plus a month selling reps. My orig post is here http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/another-ebay-scammer-141596

So I want to take this douche bag down, hoping that maybe one of our members just might have dealing with this guy. I doubt the TDs will help. Got this strange feeling that he could be an active member of one of the forums. Just want to make sure it is okay to post this guy's address and name so we might be able to bust this con artist.

How can you sell that many reps on ebay and not get busted by ebay and the buyers? It seems like at least 1 or 2 buyers would actually have the watch checked out when they get it.

The address goes to a UPS store, he rented a PO box. Just talk to the employee of that store verified that Indeed the PO box is listed under the business name, he can't confirm the name of the prick due to legal reason, but google comes in handy. Just want a mod to give the okay so I can post his info and take him down with everybody help. I hope this will deter some greedy peeps from trying the same crap after he gets his.

I assume you obtained the address by publicly available means. If so post away but I'm not sure what makes you think he's a member here.

Actually I got his address by bidding on one of his watches http://www.ebay.com/itm/200921742582?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I offered to pay via cashier check and that's how I got the address. Well the name the company is incorporated under is of a Russian woman so it's very unlikely this individual used his real name when forming the company. I messaged him about wanting a name and tel # so I can have someone sign for the over-night check, but it's been about 48 hours now and he's not taking the bate. I can't help to think there might be a chance he might be a member of one the the rep forums due to the fact all the watches he sells are the so call 1:1 so he must get his knowledge from somewhere, and he just might once in a while look under the ebay scam thread to see if he's been caught. I gonna get this douche my own way, since majority of the people seem to think it's a lost cause. He might be able to get another ebay ID but it'll take him awhile build his feedback .

I am not one of those people that think it is a lost cause. Unless ebay comes with a system or in house staff(our whole forum in exchange for all the cost of running this site, i am sure no body would object. Lol)No matter how much this and other communities like this try to help folks who do not posses enough knowledge to distinguish between real deal and super(1:1) reps, are going to get ripped off. Keep up the good work. I always report those fokkers to eBay. eBay fokkers never do nothing unless there is 100s if not 1000s of reports on an item.

Why is it you guys think we have some kind of exclusive access to/knowledge of 1:1 reps? I've never understood this, 10s of 1000s of these things are sold "off forum" every year. One of the factories selling the top of the range AP Roo made 30,000 of them last year (for example), do you really think they all sold here?

There are dealers out there who sell nothing but 1:1 specifically for and to scammers. These guys would consider the reps we buy as the bottom of the tree, most of their stuff is the quality of the 1200 dollar Cartier and we don't even see it here. We are a very small corner of a very big ocean and the top predators in that ocean don't play here.

I'm thinking of something dark and mysterious. It's a fish we don't know. If we ask it directions, it could ingest us and spit out our bones.

I sure wish I could get my fins on a few of those bad boys.. lol but I can't find them... only rumors and 1:1parts but no complete watches.. I believe some are being made in Vietnam.

Regarding publishing the name and address of this scammer, I'd simply report it to the police. For one thing, you might somehow get it wrong. Other than that, I have a good friend in Europe who had a blog and someone else posted the name and address of someone in the US he thought was involved in something pretty bad. It was on my friend's blog for a day or two until I saw it and warned him to get it off before he got done over. Too late. He got sued, lost his job over the matter, had to get a lawyer in the US and I think eventually settled out of court. The question of was what the person was doing was illegal or not never came up- it all had to do with publishing something detrimental to the person's reputation. If you still think its a good idea go see a lawyer first for some tips on what you can and can't do.

Report the guy to the consumer division of the Attorney General in the state he's operating in... if it's CONUS.... those people def don't play and they've got too much time to think of whats going on to actually get it right, but serious conspiracy theorists that have badges..... and would accuse their grandparents of a crime if someone called them in....

None of the dealers are willing to sell them for a good reason. You lot are too anal. No rep is 100% perfect so can you picture the bitching when some folk find out that applies even if you pay 1500 for a 111?

Of cause you can always go one step further and shop at Jewellery and Watch, Phong will be happy to take 5 to 25k off you for something that is more work of art than rep.

I like Phong but your right and by the time you pay him you could conceivably own a nice used gen.. especially for the run of the mil 4 or 5 k subs.... he really specializes in high end rare vintage watches.... but I've seen and heard of reps made of new(er) models that are markedly better then ours....TC was given one as a gift and there's several bread crumbs that hint there are some very high end reps coming from Vietnam. " boutique watches"
