Is it me or is something missing?

This place has been a source of comfort for me for awhile now, there are many here I admire and some I call good friends, it is just that this new format seems sort of different and not like the warm blanket it was before. It could be that I am going through a very sad time in my life now for personal reasons, and there is a alot of pain in my heart. The team running this place have worked very hard and spent money to try and improve it, and that is a good thing. So please don't misunderstand me, I just feel something is not the same, and hopefully that will change. I am going to Hawaii in a couple of days for my Brothers wedding, so that should cheer me up.

Thank you to all of you who make this site what it is, which is much more than just
a place to engage in replica watch collecting.

It was not a change on a whim or just to change... it was very necessary... the phpbb platform and our database was breaking... chewing gum and duct tape just wasn't getting the job done anymore and a change had to be made...

Remember though that the people make the community, not the software... you can help make this home for all of us by being yourself hambone and posting everywhere... the more you do that, the more like home it'll become...

Same here. Took me a while, but I'm warming up to it. I miss a few features of the old site but there are enough new ones to make up for their loss.

Hambone what you are missing has nothing to do with the look of the forum. What you are missing is the wreckless debauchery that was once prevalent. We have become tame and politically correct.

We need a flame-fest to vent every once in awhile. Sorry but the dwarf thing just doesnt do it for me.

I have been VERY frustrated with the mobile view. I like the computer version. The mobile view sent me to try to make RG my home. But I didn't fit in. I too don't want to seem ungrateful. I just hate the mobile view. Please know I am grateful. I too have been feeling down in general though... But the sun also raises.

Thank you all, thats what I'm talking about. We all have our ups and downs and though I am not down enough for a $300.00 lobotomy, I appreciate the words of support my friends. I'll be thinking of you as I ride the rolling surf of Waikiki on one of those rented tankers. At the old Moana they still have a large public surfboard rack, that I kept one in back in the day. It is still there, but hard to get a spot anymore.

Venice? Cheer Up? I would love to be in Venice. From the outside it does look difficult to sympathize with a guy going surfing in Waikiki, but hey, fixing a broken heart is not as easy as that, but thanks again Jelly Joe, you live in an awesome place.

from way back. Used to live in Nuuanu, and moved to Portlock, and Kaiser is my
HS alma mater. Looks like you have the Ono set up! Middle Street? Is that near where
Chun Hoons was/is?. I will be at the Hawaii Prince and will try to stop by for some grinds. Mahalo Cybee

Have been to Princeville in Kauai a few times since then. A beautiful place and you are lucky to have lived there for a spell.

But try to ride the wave in the Grand Canal damit. You would end up arguing with rats about who's giving way to whom.

That Venice. Wow! Real estate is geting rather expensive due to conversion to tourist accomadation isn't it?

There was an exelent article on the subject of falling residential numbers and the fact the tourists are spoiling the place in National Geographic a cpl of months back.
