Irked

I bought my Black Monster used in 2010 in mint condition.

I have managed to keep it pristine since the day i got it......that is, until today.



I was walking out of the bathroom, and my younger cat, a real daddys girl, decided to do what i call the "foot-flop".

Shell rub up against my foot, then immediately flop on her side to the ground.


This time i stepped on her tail, and as soon as i realised it, and tried to lift my foot, i lost my balance, and then the unthinkable happened.

My beloved Black Monster smacked into the door jamb strike plate.

Im so bummed out right now.

Im seriously considering removing all the striker plates from my apartment.

Just the one ding on the lug?

It seems like some guys brag about how much they beat theirs up.

Yep, just the one ding.

Looking at it now i cant even find one other scratch anywhere.

Ohh well.....at least now when it gets a scratch, itll kinda be down played by the enormous lug ding.


I think maybe the ding stands out so much because the rest of the watch is perfect.

I wondered how you could repair a ding.

Just have to go out and buy me a new laser welder.

Yeah i really dont have any intentions of fixing it.

Im just gutted that i let it happen.


And now, i found out that there is also a tiny scratch on the crystal.

I must have been flailing my arms around like the 3 stooges.



Funny thing is, now a couple hours later, I feel somewhat liberated...

Damage has been done, resale value dropped, (not that I ever really planned on selling this, Its one of my favorite watches)

I might actually wear this one to work now.

Ah well, it's a tool watch after all. I doubt there is a square mm unmarked on my orange monster.
The LE ones? Well they are pristine but you can't just walk out and get another of those.

It builds character, now if you lost your watch amongst others of the same, you could pick yours out.

If you find yourself in that situation though, please do grab me one, as I think this watch is pretty tight.

LOL, I thought i was brave and going to wear it to work, i even put it on while i was dressing for work , but as i walked by the watch case, i swapped it for the Gshock.


if this happens again, ill be offering some kitten meat in the sales section !
