I've had 5 iPhones. My friends have androids and the materials just don't match. I don't care about resolutions so high I can't even notice. I don't care about being able to move pages with my eyes. And I don't care about phones bending under pressure I would never put them under. And I still think the bending is questionable.
I want a phone that looks good, and that is fast. I want a phone that's simple, and one in which I don't need to close half my apps so my phone doesn't lag. Every android I've used lags. I've used the new ones in the store and they lag. I've never had an iPhone lag on me.
100% agree with this. yes on paper the CPU and RAM is faster for android phones, but actual user experience from iphone provides a much better and smoother experience. every android phone i've touched has this ever so slight stutter/laggy feel to it, even the modern ones like galaxy s5. plus the material, design and feel of the iphone is much more superior to the other competitors out there.
i hopped on the iphone bandwagon at the introduction of the iphone 4 (the first design that i really liked) and "upgraded" (Ie. sold my older model, bought new model, typically at a net cost of $200-$300, which i am 100% ok with being the 'phone' upkeep cost of the year) every year without looking back.
yes i hate planned obsolescence as much as the next guy, but apple isn't the only one doing it. literally every (phone) company does this. if you want upgrades, you gotta pay for it.
I also don't understand the more expensive complaint. it costs not much different than galaxy or moto x or those phones in the same calibre.... and it holds resale value much better and its not made from plastic... there are way more apps as iOS always get first releases (hearthstone comes to mind) i honestly don't understand the android argument unless its from a price point, in which case you are paying less for a lesser phone. at the same price point as iphone, why would anyone get a galaxy is beyond me.
as for the 'features' like beam or whatever, those are things i never use, just as i have never used siri, or the finger print scanner, or cared for NFC... so it being a bonus on the galaxy doesn't affect me one bit. doesn't matter if apple shows up 'late' to the party, even if they never showed up i'd be ok with it.
one criticism i'll agree with is the compatibility issues, mostly caused by the stupid lightning port. yes, i hate that, and have always hated proprietary stuff. but this is a sacrifice i'm willing to make to have all the other Pros.
ps: i dont ever buy docks and whatnot for this exact reason. blue tooth works fine anyway.
