well I brilliantly ran my iPhone 4 over with my car yesterday.... I think it fared surprisingly well

now take your bets - fixable or not?

strangely in the user manual despite there being several warnings about not dropping it in water never once did it mention running over with a car.

I just try to envision the scenario and I fail somewhat...

Well all I can imagine is the 2 year old took my phone and left it ont he driveway.....

it was a surprise to me too LOL I'd lost my phone the day before....

well on the plus side I suppose I did find my iphone. disturbingly it was in an otterbox case and it still did this....

when you plug it into the computer it makes a sound like a quiet kettle and gets really hot - also the battery exploded :lol:

LOL at work we tested the iPhone 4 glass - they claimed 20x tougher than regular glass...

complete rubbish we tested it as being only slightly tougher than regular glass!

also I dont think otterbox designed the case with a car in mind

I got an email from a watch repper offering a iPhone 4 rep, only $100 and its 1:1, A+++ using a gen as comparison. Problem solved. Can't possibly go wrong.

Little super glue and some cello tape and I'm sure you'll be good to go Smidsy.
Atleast I'll remember to keep my phone away from my 4th old now, though she's already cracked my passcode! ! ?

YES the 2 year old did that on the iPhone 4! No idea how she did... managed to get past the code and play music!

These rep iphones are so funny. Some of them even have two SIM slots and they seem to work. Just not with the Apple OS

Anyway it is always a good idea to use these protective foils from e.g. 3M . I do that to everything that has a display and that helps a lot. My kid treats her phone like a brick and the display really holds. But it is a Samsung and not an iPhone. I am not that wealthy.
