everytime I see one in an airport I say to the guy nice watch and it always seems to be an Invicta! They are huge and I love huge watches but the Costco thing and made in the millions kindof is a little everyman and not as special. I like the fact that they are great gens though but too numerous now.

which one would you guys buy out of these two

Personally, I love -- and OWN -- the TT Speedway; in real time, it is an absolute show stopper and strongly resembles the Daytona (overall). I have it, love to wear it on my rotations, and it ALWAYS gets notice. Just my .02, of course.

Regarding Invictas, to each his own; it's value, as someone profound noted earlier, is in the eye of the beholder. Before I found RWI, Invictas (and Seikos) were my go-to watches & have had excellent experiences with them. I have about eight (8) & that's about as much as I'm going to have, as, well, I've found and belong to RWI (and a few other rep forums). In fact, my purchasing is about 99% reps and 1% gens. For those seeking an intro to the wonderful world of watches & are leery of reps, Invictas are a fine intro.

The lack of date magnification on my blue invitation sub really bothers me.

This is certainly true of the older Invictas; however, I believe they've been adding better cyclops magnification, but certainly not the 2.5x we've all come to love and desire.

Same here. The 9211 speedway is good, a bit small but good. I have been lucky enough to have the old version with the seconds counting on 6 and not on the big center hand. The center hand is working only on the chronograph function.

Problem is they have made some great watches but then don't continue them (except for a few main stays) and instead produce crazy huge watches that no one really wants with inflated prices which make no sense.

...here, here!! The mate is profound!!! Unfortunately, sub's correct.

The Speedway is an excellant watch as is the ProDiver line and yes the date mag is much better then the previous models, infact alot better.

I have one new in box I've been considering selling here, maybe.

8926ob and WBK Sub-C

Here is a pic of my Invicta 8926OB & WBK's Sub-C.

I got a $20 replacement bracelet from ebay, went at the originally polished center links with a Scotch-Brite pad, put it on the Invicta and Ta-Da!!!!

I have to be honest, the Invicta has been a tank in the pool, in the shower, as a daily beater, whatever. Also, the NH35a (Seiko) movement is quiet as a mouse and approx. +2 every 24hrs. I'll swap out the bezel when I have a little more time but that's basically all the watch needs for me.

The lume on the 8926 is very also good. Much better than what comes with the reps I own. I charge it before I go to bed (around 11:p) and can still easily read the dial at 4:am when my 3 year old wakes up. Great beater!
