Invicta 9937OB a Gen worth looking / swiss automatic 25j SUB look alike

So ive been looking around for some more watches gen or rep and ran across Invicta. I know they make great watches and have has a few

so I found the Invicta 8926ob great watch for the cost - japan quartz

then i found an invicta 9937 nad the open back model 9937ob - wow the specs for a $300 watch are amazing and reviews as well

You won't find a lot of Invicta love here.
I happen to like the brand and both my
wife and I own a few. Some of their models
are just ugly. But dollar for dollar,you get a nice watch....Just my 2 cents.

They are all over priced. And their so called retail values are just ridiculous. I have a few divers from years back that are pretty decent, but the quality control on their recent stuff is just plain bad. The last one I bought was exchanged 3 times and it still has issues (but I like the way it looks and it was only $100). They care to much much about quantity now. I'm septical that even their limited edition versions arent even limited as you see them everywhere online. And if you read around there is evidence to suggest that none of their watches are made or even assembled in Switzerland. Warranty issue? Forget about it, it will take months to get it resolved. And they don't have a state side repair facility, it's all shipped back to China for repair.

Buy from a good watch company -the above watch was never stated as most of their watches have a Swiss movement not Swiss made - this is a great watch for under 300 just saying most swiss movement reps are over 300 and the 9937 if bought from an auth dealer has a 5 yr warranty

Try taking them up on their "warranty" and you'll begin to understand why the brand is often viewed with disdain....

I have NEVER seen an Invicta with a sapphire crystal. Even their watches with 7750 movements use their "flame fusion " crystal.

And the 5 year warranty is worth less than the plastic card it's printed on. They don't exchange anything, it all gets shipped to China for repair, and takes months to get back, and btw, they still charge you for all the shipping.

The description and the case back state that the crystal is flame fusion not sapphire.

It's a nice looking homage to the Rolex Sub -- I have this one, the coin-edged bezel. It's a great buy but not top of the line, of course. Some of the criticism directed at Invicta Group has merit -- I know because I've tried dealing with them before. It's too bad they're like that; I believe they'd get more respect if they extended quality to the customer service. Just my .02.

"Flame Fusion" = a coined word from the Invicta Ad department which means 'ceramic heat infused crystal material'. A crystal used by most all regular watches nowadays. [ceramic crystal] As of the Swiss made Invictas ? well Swiss movements, years ago. Then switched to cloned Asian made movements. Then switched to run of the mill 'Miyota' movements. As of country of origin of origin since the name was last 'resurrected', well its always been China. That's why you ship them back there for service to meet its 'mama'. Some are quite good looking, but price by price comparos and a Rep starts to look good.
