Introducing Beasy's Franken 44mm Panda

The team for this Franken build was really excellent. It takes alot of persistence to overcome the disappointment of losing a package with an expensive part and then replace it and continue with the build. I am really quite impressed with Mr. Beasy for continuing. Love the step-by-step photos of Domi's work: the ones from his machine shop, and then those from his work-bench next door. All decisions made on this build were correct as far as machining and modification, IMO: the result speaks for itself.

Incredible, I love the 44mm panda. If I won the lotto it would be my first genuine purchase.

I wonder where that poor 3126 ended up? Who knows maybe one day it will just show up, what a lovely surprise that would be.

I am really happy with this build and hope wear it for many years.

For fun, here are some shots of my new 44mm panda with it's little brother, my other 42mm panda franken.

Specs on the 42mm are gen dial, tachy, hands, cyclops, strap, 2x AR crystal.

Few observations:

- 44mm panda dial looks more cream than 42mm panda. Looks almost ivory next to the bright white 42mm dial
- More red accents on the 42mm panda
- The 44mm panda looks alot bigger than just 2mm bigger than the 42mm, due mostly to the bigger pushers. It really does wear more like a 47mm pam for comparison purposes

Oh wow man those builds are simply insane and one of a kind. Congratulations on your finished builds and wear them in good health! I doubt it if there’s anyone ever do this 44mm Franken that often. In fact, this the first time I see someone take steps this far for a 44mm AP. Well done mate!

@dog_breath from your question on the thread regarding colour of gen vs rep dial.

Left is gen dial, right is rep JF from donor panda.

JF looks slightly more white / silver compared to the more cream colour gen dial.
