Is this normal? I thought "Intime" is a trusted seller. Not sure why he asked for PayPal that is unprotected for me.

Hello and WELCOME from the official RWI reception desk!

You are receiving this introduction because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or —for the first time(s)— elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in the aforementioned section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all relevant sticky threads. They contain important and essential information such as the forum rules! Most importantly the sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Please also take another look at this important sticky that you should already have seen after logging on for the first time:

This quick anti-fraud guide is essential if you are about to order from a dealer for the first time:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We will gladly help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

It's not normal to use PayPal with a TD, especially not goods & services, because of fears of fraudulent / unwarranted refunds or chargebacks that can be requested by the customer.

Most TDs therefore don't accept PayPal payments altogether...

Some TDs have a European IBAN for normal bank transfers.... It's my personal favorite because of the cost efficiency.

Wise is also a very popular option. Also, many TDs offer crypto payments, often with nice discounts...

If you pay by credit card, it's advisable to not use your actual credit card and use a virtual "throw-away" card number for one-time use. After the initial transaction, no further charges can be made. Unfortunately, due to the illicit nature of the business, TDs are unable to get regular merchant accounts, so they depend on card processors of varying trustworthiness and reliability.

There have been incidents in the past with shady card processing companies where additional charges —without the involvement or knowledge of the TD— were applied afterwards. So it's not a good idea to use your "real" credit card information for TD shopping.

Consider yourself lucky that they're letting you use paypal.
This ^

I've only bought twice from two different TD's before. Both times are Friends and Family through PayPal. You're lucky that someone as new as you, they are giving you the option to even use PayPal. Problem with them not doing Friends and Family is because someone who is NEW can have bad intentions. This is why for example, TheOneWatches only allow people with at least 1 year old account with RWI to allow purchase through them.

Oh, also. They are called TD, Trusted Dealer for a reason. For that reason is so that we can order from them with peace in mind. Whether it's through any other credit card service or PayPal F&F. You are in good hands with InTime, RWI doesn't just let anyone become "Trusted Dealer" status for no reason.

None of my cards worked on the site either. I ended up paying via Litecoin, I have already received my first order, and just got QC for a second.

I just received my Omega Snoopy watch from them. Blown away by the quality as well as their cust service. I too was apprehensive but all good. You get confirmation right away, they literally hold your hand during the process, which I needed since it was my 1st purchase/

It’s unusual for dealers here to accept PP from new member
Be careful, only use websites which are linked on Trusted dealer list.
A quick google for “intime watches” brings up 3 lookalike websites which are definitely NOT trusted here.
