if you are the manufacturer, it makes sense to ensure that current stocks are drained before releasing the decorated movements.

distributors will be forced to sell current stock at discounted prices to ensure stocks move.

They have not decorated the A7750 chronos yet. It will require a different plate than the A2824 plates. I actually dislike plates, with their functionless jewels and escapements, and hideous fake screws. I hope this will not be an excuse to hike prices even higher.

Last year saw the news they making split chrono movement. Until now somehow it's disappear. I hope this won't be the same case.

Yea..., I was referring to the decorated 7750 and the A3120 mentioned in that Watchbus thread is for JF version of A3120 since JF hasn't put out any decorated movement yet on their AP.
So my bet is still no clone, only decoration.
I really hope you loose your bet, bro

That would be my bet as well (which is in line with what I heard), but I have no idea how they would fit any plating in that case with as thick as the sec@12 movement is already

Looks like they are working through CNY at J12. Here is the latest photo from their AP division:

I hope JF is actually cloning a chrono movement instead of putting a decorated plate on an 7750...so all of us will have a correct position dw on all 42mm ROO...in the perfect world...

If the Chinese clone the 3120, it will be a major achievement... I hope they do it too. But the escapement mechanism will be extremely difficult to clone.

That's true, the robin escapement looks very complex. We talk about 1/100mm tolerance, I doubt chines factory's can build a movement like that. But I still hope I'm wrong.
