Anyone order from Toro?
I saw he listed as movement 2824, however the datewheel looks correct though...
Almost order until I look at the cheaper version are install with 2824.

I checked with Toro, he insist its 2824.

2824 is just a 2836 without the day disc complication really. They are exactly the same movements.

Meaning to say it can be high end rep even the movement is different?
Confused coz I saw cheaper version with 2824 and hgi end version normally with 2836.

Being a complete watch noob from reading around some of the other IWC threads it's kind of implied getting them serviced asap?

I wouldn't need to then?

You can - but since you just got the watch and a self-confessed noob (not implying anything - i'm a relative noob too) why not just see if you like the watch first? If you tire of it after a few weeks / months, you can just resell it down the road.

It's gonna cost you at least a few months downtime and half the price of the watch to service it, at least make sure it's worth the investment and time.

Just my 2cents.

I'd say wear it as it is. I've done that to all of my reps, with only one developing issues that required a service.

Enjoy it first, since the clone movements are new and are typically problem free. Servicing is only required for the Swiss ETAs, as they can be abit dodgy - mixed parts or just a really old movement. But still, I will only service it when required.

Almost made my payment...until i see the different movement used.

Which one should I choose?
Puretime
http://www.puretime.co/product/inge...ort-for-good-foundation-11-noob-best-edition/

or Toro
http://www.torobravos2013.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=56_175&product_id=715

PT said its A2836-2
Toro insists its A2824

I think both are Noob and looks equally good rep.
But I don't understand why the different movement....

Anyone can enlighten?
:wyliehelp:

Anyone? Intime also confirmed its 2836...

Still dont understand difference in movements:
1.Asian 2824 automatic movement at 28800vph
and
2.Asian 2836-2 25J Automatic Movement, 28800bph
between
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/iwc-ingenieur-automatic-146310?t=146310
and
http://www.puretime.co/product/inge...ort-for-good-foundation-11-noob-best-edition/
or this
http://www.kuvarsit.net/11-iwc-ingenieur-automatic-laureus-sport-for-good-foundation-fr-p-1818.html
Can anyone make this clear?

They are the same watch from the same factory, using the same movement. One of the sellers doesn't know what movement it is, but frankly the two movements have the same design. The 2836-2 has a day wheel, but it's common to omit it.

How do you remove the buckle from the rep strap to replace it on new strap?

Compress the end of the leather a bit to reveal the springbar.
