So far I've heard nothing but amazing reviews on the speed and response time of Ryan. I ordered the noob explorer II from him on sunday. I had QC pics by sunday evening and paid him on sunday night. The watch is in NY and, hopefully don't jinx myself but, I'm sure it'll be another day until it's in my hands.

3 days from Hong Kong to DC?? How? And are the days of waiting weeks for your beloved rep over? Why can Ryan speedily get things posted and transactions accomplished while the other trusted dealers leave us writhing in pain and anticipation waiting to know if the watch even made it through customs? Does he know someone? Shipping with tracking??? Dat's unpossuble!!!

Well, needless to say I will be purchasing all of my future reps from Ryan if he maintains this style of business.

This is no review or anything, just wanted to positively vent and hear if other people are receiving the same treatment. Thanks Ryan.

I ordered from him about 3 days ago as well and it is being delivered to me today. I have no idea how he can accomplished this so quickly while every other td takes a couple of weeks including some time in customs. Maybe Ryan can tell us what he is doing and why others can't??

I think shipments from Guangzhou to HK are relatively straight forward. Then shipments from HK to international locations are very efficient.

When items are shipped directly from GZ, the bottleneck is with Chinese export regulations.

That's my guess.

But Ryan is extremely responsive regardless. Sometimes on the mainland, people cannot get access to gmail and other email sites as they are scrubbed first by big brother. Loading times are horrendously slow as well.

its because with HK, customs is much more lenient. they target the high risk areas like GZ and SZ, which is where most of the other TD's ship out of.

The same goes for ordering from DSN, who also ships out of HK, much less customs

My experience with DSN was the same as with other trusted dealers. I think it took 3 weeks to actually ship the watch and more days before that trying to get qc pics. I guess everyone has different experiences though.

my only concern is that ryan states that he wont resend a watch if it is sent by custom , indeed he is cheaper than other and has got an amazing track record and coms ( i havnot bought from him yet so can only base myself on other members review ) i guess being a new dealer he might not be able to bear the cost of sending a replacement for a rep which has been seized by customs compare to PT which probably has got a higher amount of sale , fair enough ,
i for myself like the safe feeling to know that if my rep got seized by custom the tp will replace it and am more than willing to pay extra for that assurance ,
as an example the pam 111 N noon is at 248$ from ryan and at 278$ with toro . works out 12% more expensive on the base price .
so far i got 4 orders delivered from hk/china with 3 different td and none got seized so i am feeling a bit more relax about it ,
congratulation to ryan on his new status of td , i ll be looking to get a rep from him soon , probably one of his cheaper rolex model , looking to get a AP diver v3.5 as well but being in the 300-400$ bracket i d rather order it from a td whom covers for possible custom seizure ,
just my 2 cents here , i do understand that dealing in ilegal counterfeit article one should be ready to lose something sooner or later to customs but if a td states he will cover for it shall this happens and i feel more comfortable that way , why not?
congratulation

your point is understood, but please consider this:

Ryan has made the correct move in my mind in NOT offering help with customs.
Andrew and Josh both switched to this policy like two years ago, and it
was met with furious anger.

what actually transpired is Andrew and Josh put a layer of protection up
for themselves in a case where they feel they might need it, and it worked.
that doesn't mean that they stuck to that policy, especially with forum
members, because they didn't. they never stopped, not for a day, having
our backs if something went wrong and we needed a replacement part
or a watch reshipped or something, even though their policy said they
didn't have to do squat.

this gives Ryan the ability to choose what to do. Like what if a watch
got "seized" but there's no documentation or real proof? He should be
able to decide to not replace if he feels that's appropriate. he shouldn't
be bullied around by his policy, it's instead there to protect him.

so in short I mean to say that there may be cases where Ryan does
replace something if he feels it's the right thing to do, that's what Andrew
and Josh do. so I wouldn't expect him to replace anything, but with
proper documentation and such I wouldn't expect him not to either.

yeah, the cartel
haha, thanks.

Hmm, Ryan told me by PM that he would replace any watches taken by customs...

that's kind of what I was eluding to, don't count the man out, just understand
that he's protecting himself because it's the correct business decision.

Seriously, with the amount of fraud and crap going on, I'm surprised he would replace any "lost" order at all. He is taking a risk, so are you. Its all about trust.

And with Ryan, I'd almost trust him with my 1st born, hes that good!!!!

Ryan seems to be the man

I have ordered 1 other Rep, so I am a newbie but definately have the bug.
I have a Rolex Lv Hulk that I love and bought after spending many hours on this site, I oredered from Timeshops. It was a smooth transaction and I love my watch. My second rep is coming from Ryan after all the rave reviews, I have to say Ryan is coming up trumps. I ordered a Breitling Super Abyss in blue, Ryan Pm me saying he just was not happy with the 1st watch he got from the factory. How good is that!! He then told me he would replace it and get me a perfect watch. I received the Qc pictures today and the watch looks great. I am so looking forward to getting my package it will be christmas again.
I have a feeling Ryan really could be in the running for dealer of the year if he continues this excellent personal service where you can order in total confidence knowing he will source the best he possibly can. Well done Ryan and thank you. I have a funny feeling this will be my dealer of choice.

i always ask a td from whom i havnot ordered from before is stance on custom , as ryan stated in terms in condition he wont replace i just assumed this was a definitive stance and wouldnot have even tought to confrim that with him by email

just understand
that he's protecting himself because it's the correct business decision.

i understand and respect that , i deal with to many a***e on ebay pretending they havnot receive an item
the decision is his own indeed , everybody is free to apply their own buisiness practice , i run my buisiness the way i see fit and if a potential buyer starts to critisize the way i do things i just politely tell him that i am probably not the best option for him ,

as i stated before i do indeed understand that we are dealing in ilegal items so somewhere along the line something will happend anyway , i do trust td about sending the watch m, no issue with that at all . in the case of custom seizure i wouldnot expect anyone to replace a watch if i dont have a proof ( custom letter i gather ) that it has been seized . as stated above i deal all the time with dodgy buyer on ebay who claim for non received item .... it would be to easy

Perhaps the customs seizure policy is dependent on the destination country, he might be able to extend a replacement to the more lenient customs if the odds are with him.

But still, Ryan is a great guy to deal with. He ships it out within 24 hours after approval. And with HK EMS it's lightning fast delivery, although the same can't be said for HK airmail.

And when I asked that question of Ryan by PM, he refered me to his T&C page. I do think I will ask the question again, as in light of all the positive feedback I would like to give Ryan a go.

However, I'm with livil on this, I will pay a premium for guaranteed customs and the price difference is not large enough for me to take the risk without that safety net.
