What about the gold hands version? It seems JJ fac color is improved compared to 3a factory?

cant help but notice that the dot below number 6 is way off center..
stunning piece though! do you know if a gen movement/hands/crown/dial/everything would be a direct swap on the new v6f body though? from what i understand, it isnt in v1 of the rep.. thanks!

I just noticed a new version 3714 hit the market. Not sure what factory it comes from-- could it be a different JJF generation? Dial looks great (to my eye), but the movement is only 21600bph. TD's product page says "2015 NEW Released V3 with Asian 7750 21600vph movement. such movement is Reduce the movement failure rate, the movement is become more stable and reliable." Ok, so reduced failure rate, stable and reliable sounds good, but I wonder how noticeably the lower beat rate will affect the smoothness of the second hand. The small seconds sub-dial will probably still look ok running, although the longer radius of the chrono seconds hand may suffer from 6bps rather than 8bps. What do you guys think?

Great to see such information from a TD. Thanks Trevor.

How about the AR and clearity of the crystal?
On the original version that was pretty poor, but now you say that on the new version the crystal is like the Gen. Or was that only a reference to the shape?

I'm not movement expert but how does a lower bph improve the reliability? I perhaps see that with less number of movement per second than a higher bph movement, the gears would in theory be subject to less friction and stresses on the gears of the sec@6 modification. But I thought placing jewels along where the transfer gears would be best for this type of modification.

And the only 21,600 bph A7750 out there that I know of is the one from Liaoning fac, which wasn't exactly the most reliable compared to the more common 28k bph Shanghai fac 7750.

Again I'm no expert, so i'll wait for a tear down of the movement before I commit to a purchase

I think it is nonsense, a placebo to calm us the stupid rep buyers. Possibly the bph have a small impact on the reliability - but it does not solve the problem. Some additional jewels would possibly, but: Domi did this mod in the past and now he isn't offering the jewel mod anymore because also jewel modded movements stopped. There is IMHO one solution: a module like IWC constructed (and the module is relative simple, so I can absolutely NOT understand why the factories aren't willing to clone it). Or a new movement.

The gen dial: I was kidding! Of course a gen dial fits to a 7750 based movement! Nobody can tell this for the - rumors, rumors - new movement arriving us in some months if all gods are friendly with us. But for the existing 7750 movements it will fit. In case of the 3714 the gen movement and the gen tachy don't fit without modifications. And the rep hands don't fit to the gen movement and vice versa. But the dial is no problem.

Trevor 3a factory made an upgrade as JJ rolled out this watch. Do you think it is possible to compare between 3a (i think it is called v2, not the old version) with this version?
