I have a feeling in the not to distant future everyone is going to be trying to get their hands on JF v7, v8, v9 and Noob v3.5 and up.
Once pictures are posted of the side profile of the v9.5 (and possibly a side comparison of the v9.5 and Gen)

But them again, maybe there are versions of the Gen case too, so then it wouldn't matter

 Hmmm, you mean V9.5 is much worst than JF v7, v8, v9 and Noob v3.5 and up?

First of all, thank you for the pictures!
Please see the picture of a gen below.. Maybe it’s because I am on the phone only atm, but I do not see a difference to the 9.5?!

I think so too.
It's all down to lighting and angle.

marginally different? maybe? I'm new to AP, so I don't know what sort of difference is OK or not around here.

looks like the position is the same, just the bevel on the case edge is slightly larger.
for me is acceptable.

why are people saying that this is worse than the V7-9? or is that just shitposting?

First of all, a big thanks again for your effort and the comparison! I do not see why this is anything different from v7-9. So I think we can forget about this “issue”. We are still talking about a rep.. we cannot expect or demand perfection!

First of all, it is my opinion not shitposting. Just the same as I have to read people's opinions that I don't agree with, I too can post my opinion. I have the v9.5 in my hand, as well as a noob v3.5 and JF v9.
If you can't see the difference in hole placement that's great, I can, especially with having then in had. With them in hand you don't need magnification to see the difference.
It is simple, there is less material on the case between the screw hole and the band.
Now the question is going to be, how will it look with a Gen band or band and endlinks on it. Or and aftermarket band designed for a Gen like AP Bands. (I actually have an AP Bands strap I am going to try on the v9.5). My AP Bands strap on the noob v3.5 and JF v9 have a gap.
In the past on the noob v3.5 and JF v7 when people have put a Gen band on them there was a slight gap between the band and case. Some people did not like this, but the Gen has the same gap. So it did look more accurate.
My guess - I could be wrong , but based on trying the v9.5 band on the v9, is that the Gen band will have too big of a gap on the v9.5. But we won't know until someone gets a Gen band or Gen band and plots (endlinks) and tries it- until someone actually tries it, everything is just speculation.
These are my opinions- not shitposting. Once other people who have had or still have the Noobs and JF v7-v9 buy the v9.5 they can offer their opinions on it.

Would be nice, if you could show the differences by posting some comparison pictures. Just use Tapatalk and post the images here..
You cannot be angry, when ppl think you are shitposting, when you do not post any images..

I'm sorry, but I just don't see that on the 9.5 / gen image i put up above.

Batch variation?

Batch variation?

I don't know. But I am going to create a Tapatalk account as suggested and post pictures later today.
Maybe my v9.5 is just a bad one, not sure I just got it a couple of days ago. My hope is that the v9.5 case would have cured the endlink problem, but Based off of the v9.5 I received, I do not believe that it the case. As I said in my above post, my worry and the thing that will answer this question is fitting other bands to the v9.5. I buy a lot of different bands for my APs and if they have a big gap between them and the case it would be disappointing. The band that comes on the v9.5 has a gap, and I prefer that because it looks more gen. I will know more when I try the other bands on it later today

From this picture you should be able to see how close the endlink screw is to the band

It is definitely different, how big I don't know. Like I said in a previous post, my concern is mainly because of the bands. If someone doesn't use and bands except for the one that comes with it or JF bands this wouldn't be a concern. But I get bands from Vic, AP Bands and Gunny. So that is where this might make a difference. My Noob v3.5 case looks to have the screw hole in the right spot.
I think the issue with the Noob case and older JF (v9 and back, but I did notice that even the v7 cases had variations if hole placement) is that the endlink slot in the case is not machined at a steep enough angle (hard to explain) so the fix for those cases would be to machine out the slot, not at the top, but at the bottom towards the inside so the endlink can rotate in some. This would allow the endlink to flex in. Now of course you can do the flexable endlink mod, I have done it on a few of my divers. It is all personal preference on what someone wants to do- part of the hobby.

The only thing i see here is the following:

You are worried because the V9 is not like your V9.5 and that is a question regarding the fitment of gen straps or custom straps - alright.

what was already proven with a comparison is that the V9.5 got the holes On right place like the gen.

when it comes to logic the following now is that:

the V9 didnt came with flexible endlinks - the V9.5 does. And of course it is in the right place like the gen (even the strap holes). Maybe with a difference of micrometers...

no need for confusion IMHO.

No I don't care what the v9 is or isn't. I don't where it or use it, I only bought it to see if anything was different from the v7. No I don't have a v7 anymore. I have a modified Noob v3.5 that I wear.
Again, I really don't care what anyone think- it is my opinion. I am just sharing what I am finding, I don't have to share anything with anyone, I could just keep what I learn from spending the money and buying every version of the divers out to myself. I didn't have to but every diver Noob v3.5 forward and JF v7 forward because I keep the mash up I have and that is the one I wear.
But correct me if I am wrong, the purpose of the forum is for people in hobby to share and enjoy the hobby. Or is it so that a few select members can dominate the forum with there opinions and cut up on anyone that posts stuff they don't like?
I am posting my findings and opinions, is that against the rules? I I posting stupid pictures of cartoons or saying anything not related to the post, like nice car in the background making the thread unnecessarily long?
