I'm in love with the Navitimer but need more info

I'm letting my decision re Navitimer sit a while, until it matures like fine wine or bad cheese. I guess we will find out which.

I am warming to the only navitimer listed as a super rep. The Breitling Navitimer 1 41mm - V7F

I do still like my original choice... http://www.hontwatch.ru/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_145&products_id=7542

But honestly, I can't even find a matching gen in terms of model number, so it is hard to assess its quality or if it is just a fantasy watch. I just like the dial layout.

I pulled the trigger on it and waiting for QC photos now. It is pity that BP 46 mm is no longer available. The only concern I have with KOR is that it is “only” 41 mm - can be a bit small for me (compare with 44 mm blackbird and 45 mm yellow avenger. Anyway let’s see when it arrives :)
Post the QC pics when you get them on this thread so I can see. Very interested to know what you think. thanks.

Yes, the Breitliing navitimer is pulling this noob into the world of reps. But the world of reps still looks like a confusing forest to me. I can say I have read a great article on Breitling reps and another on Navitimer reps. But it is still not clear to me what is actually available.

http://www.hontwatch.ru/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_145&products_id=7542

I love this one in the link. It is listed on Hontwatch webpage, but another TD (the only one who has replied to me) told me it is discontinued and I have not heard back from Hontwatch. And it isn't clear to me which factory makes it anyway.

My questions, if someone is kind enough to answer them:
1. What is the best navitimer rep that is currently available (I like this colour blue but could do a dark blue)
2. If a watch is listed on a webpage, how do you know which factory makes it?
3. Do all the navitimer reps have fully functional slide rules?
4. Which TDs will reply to emails?
I have one very similar to this I would sell you. Would need to list on the for sale page - bought years ago from InTime, gets zero wrist time. Let me know if you’d like pics.

Well... hell... if you have it and don't use it much... it works like it should... and priced right... I don't see why I wouldn't buy it. I'm new here, but I know where the for sale section is. Let me know when you post it. Is this a thing? All sales are by the for sale section?

If anyone is still interested in the BP World Time, I have a black dial with SS bracelet as well as gen Breitling rubber and clasp. If anyone is interested let me know for a reserved sale. This is not an ad per se, I just read that some of you guys are hunting a BP World Time.

@nicmend, You are completely right, perhaps I've been too critical of the model. In any case, the rep is probably indistinguishable unless seen close up or held next to a gen. Plus, I doubt the average person even knows of the Breitling models in detail. I am glad to hear that your father is enjoying it!

Man, it’s a bummer that gf blue navi is not available. They were great!!

I CANNOT believe no one has mentioned the JF black dial navi. It’s absolutely the BEST navi 43mm rep given that GF is out of commission!!! For sure check this out!!

Honestly, if they still have them the v9f special editions (blue dial and white dial)
Are phenomenal!!
I have had basically every navi rep and it’s one the very best I’ve ever had.

The stratos gray navi is a good one also I’d stroll available. (Gray/black sub dials)

If ou don’t mind the 3i clock sub dial not working, the a23322 from BP is great… (although it has a greenish hue, which so does the gen, but more exaggerated on the BP rep)

If all else fails, the KOR is hood, but a new factory also released the 41mm navitimer chrono and the blue dial is FAR more accurate to gen and looks great. The KOR blue dial May as well be black as it’s a suuuper dark navy blue.

1) 41mm chrono blue dial - unknown factory
2) v9f airline editions
3) JF black dial
4) BP A23322
5) stratos gray - unknown factory

Like I said, I’ve owned basically every single one of them..

If the V9f white or blue dial aren’t available, then I would:

I’d go with the unknown fsctory 41mm over KOR IF AND ONLY IF getting blue dial, otherwise KOR.
If not that, I’d prolly choose the JF black dial.
If not that, stratos gray dial.
BP a23322 is really nice, but the fixed subdial minute counter bugged me!

The v9f and the JF were both on sale a while back.
The v9f was only 208 and I think the JF only like 259 or 300….

Al of your links sent me to dang replica shoes or something…

I did find the blue one btw. Someone on this forum sold it to me a year ago. But I've had my fun and am finished with it. I can sell it to you for a similar or cheaper price. I will have to go back and look at what I paid.

Could you show some pictures of those you listed?
I'm close to pulling the trigger in one of them, but there is just so little info as a reference for me...
Is the BP A23322 even still available? The JF black dial Navi, isn't it the one that has the applied golden-winged logo? I recall it has a serious sunken date issue... Is it now fixed? But I agree this is the best we can get nevertheless.

Yes JF had gold wings. JF navi has no more sunken date wheel than any other. The BP A23322 has no sunken datewheel but that’s bc the 3 o clock sub dial is frozen. And the sub dial hands are incorrect. Other than that it’s an accurate little watch.
I actually made an awesome franken from a BP watch.

The v9f was the least sunken I’ve had. I had the blue dial. They may still be available and for a HECK of a price! I only paid 208 for my blue dial and it was really really great!!! (It says “r”an am on the case back instead of “p”an am, but you can easily scratch it off to be a P, which is what I did.

All said and done, if I had to get a navi rep for accuracy, I would choose something with 7750 layout (6,912) either KOR or that new factory listing on trustytime.

BUT, value for money, it’s the v9f, JF or stratos gray

This is after fixing how the dial was sitting in the case, where I made it more flush to the slide rule.

I’ve had my fun with everything that exists out there currently. Only one I’m looking for is this old release…
