welcome, ann. don't get put-off by all the eventual leering and construction-worker comments you'll get in here... it just comes part n parcel w/ the, um, plumbing, to put it indelicately (as you'll find we often do here ). ahw got 1,000+ pages for getting an avatar... actually, the thread's still going n has been exported to other fora fr examination and study. the made-fr-tv mini-series will be out later this fall. seanf is currently slated to play ahw, :shock:, but the general consensus is he's far too effeminate to pull it off... :wink: :lol:

Ann, this thread is normally in the VIP only section. However, just for you, I'm putting it into the Looney Bin for the next twenty-four hours so that you can see for yourself the reason for the squid porn and why seanf needs abusing.

Wow 11 pages! Welcome Ann! It is wonderful to have another musician join RWI. Music and Watches, who would have guessed. I wonder if the Rolex advertisements in some of our music books had anything to do with it.

I used to play the trumpet. I was taking college lessons as early as the 7th grade. I haven't played in quite a few years. There are quite a few musicians here. And magicians too.

Thank you, guanaco - yes, that's really me . The Scherzo Tarantella is one of my favorite pieces to play. You have to look up the Heifetz version on youtube - it's insane!

After reading all 11 pages, I have this to say:

1) Welcome, Ann! The more the merrier in this place. As you are new to the "dark side" of replica watches, check out the stickies on the board, learn a lot, and have fun!
Fakey's Corner is a great place to start.

2) Since you've probably done all that already, feel free to tell me to STFU.

3) Thanks to Al, I now know that if I'm going to play the viola or the violin EXTREMELY FAST, I know where to go.

4) Going back to where you mentioned getting a men's watch...have you thought about getting one of the 42.5 mm Omega Planet Oceans? I've seen it on women's wrists and it looks pretty nice!

5) Pay no attention to the squid talk. Or some type of sexual innuendo. Or anything that includes: squids, midget porn, any type of whistle that's not made of plastic/metal/the sound from your lips, Patrick Swayze, and/or most things in the looney bin.

Oh, I've had a crush on Patrick Swayze since I saw Ghost, which is my favorite movie to harass straight males with - they often just don't seem to get it :-D...!

As regards the watch, I am goin gto look it up now. Even if I don't pick it out for myself, I'm looking for one for my dad to prank him at Christmas!!! :-D
