Maybe we need a checklist (although in all honesty how may safeguards can you have?) for new members? [Check] I've read the potential dangers of buying replicas. [Check] I understand to never follow a link I did not find on RWI. [Check] I've talked to at min. 3 members about my potential purchase before visting a TD so as to get a feel for what to expect and what may possibly go sideways. I get some people are not readers, and may skim the FAQs here, or think, "I know what I'm doing, hold my beer...."

Consider yourself lucky that you "only" lose 282 usd, most newbies lose a lot more.
I notice in the posted invoice you paid by credit card. Have you disputed the charge with your credit card company? @Robdog
