A Pam 005 or 111. I really can't tell the differences between some of the models but these are the two that caught my eye. I am asking two questions....

1. What would be the best model to purchase for a noob to Panerai. I want the rubber strap and nice lume.
2. What TD would be the best to use since I'm in the U.S ?

Thanks in advance....

Hi Atticus,

I'm sure most will go for the 005, a great out of the box rep which is very close to gen and comes with great lume.

I, however, would opt for the 111. A great starting point for a Pam and an all time classic. 111 all the way for me.

main difference though is dial and 005 is closed case back where as 111 is open. id go with the closed case back.

005. Closed case back and logo dial = win!

+1 BB

Go to P111 a beautiful watch to start a collection
The open case back shows more the flaws it is very nice.
I think you will enjoy more P111 than 005 closed caseback.
It is a pleasure to see the back of a P111 !!

Anyway If you are anal and you are searching for accuracy = P005

Most dealers are China based.

It must confusing when sausage and sandwich are used in consecutive posts. If you don't know the difference please don't be shy to ask.

We are all very accommodating here. :)

Sausage and sandwich are very similar, except that one has bread and the other does not. I keep forgetting which is which though.
