@ WD13

How is the lume compared to the 183?

vaccum

The 183's dial is brighter, I think the hands are the same. I'll do a comparison for you shortly.

Your 183 dial is brighter, but for a stock offering the Davidsen dial is phenomenal. I wouldn't touch it!!

Best,
WD

dam thats freakin BIG!!! love the wrist shot, it really puts it into perspective seeing it on a wrist

I'm not a big dude, 6.5" wrists. The 183 and 005 are boderline too big. I certainly can't do an IWC BP or the XXL Railmaster. Most Breitlings are gonna be too big too.

@ Watchdude.....that 05 and that strap combo is a stunner!
I've been stocking up from Elliot, I've got about 5-6 straps for it right now. I'm gonna "shoot" all of them. Look for my review and posts in 'Eyecandy'.

jts2005,

If you're not into sandwiches the 005 from Davidsen is all good. No mods needed.

I can get them but they are a special order and as such come with all the problems of a special order (ie, long waits on backorder) Right now E series (Fiddy) are available, but I'm still waiting on the H series to become available again.

If ya want to go further. Get a dagger and have that installed.

Is this possible? Do you know of anyone who sells the dagger regulator? Does someone like Frei-Borel sell it? Is this a Panerai custom part? or can it be ordered form ETA (like the extended pinion).

Thanks for any info.

I own a 009 davidsen PVD, and ordered a 005, all with all fixes (superlume, cannon pin fix etc.)

I have also a 177 titanium one and a Radiomir Black Seal.

The most Beautifull is the PVD, but the most useable is the Ti (don't scratch etc.).

If I have to choose only one, I think the best choice is the Davidsen 005 all fixes.

For my first Pam I bought a 005 from Josh (Perfect Clones). Threw my first brown Maestro on it today that I got from E, and nothing but compliments. I would like to superlume it later. WHo should I contact, and what is the usual cost?

The 111 is the essential Panerai.

I bought a 111 a few years ago, just to see what all the fuss was about.

I now own twelve replica Panerai watches.

These things are addictive.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

Newb to the reps?

then just get a 111h or a 100$ pannie to get you started. Once you're obsessed enough and learned a great deal (IE: what is modded or not, what's a canon pin, dagger, superluming etc), then invest the time and money into modding one.

I wouldn't want your first purchase ever in a rep world to be $450 modded and have something go wrong or have a watch that you would have to have someone handwalk you through the modding process. start it slow :)
