I've been in communication with Toro on this. He tells me that there is a potential date wheel issue with the A3135 version and he is recommending the A2836 version which is also $30 dollars less.

The webpage on Toro's site has a dropdown selector for the movement - and it's got a new URL:

I think I am going to pull the trigger on a A2836 version.

I'm glad I held off ordering until today and saw that video bc as of yesterday I was told by my td it was only available with the a3135.

From what I know about the a3135 it's essentially the same movement as the a2836 there's just decorated plate to make it look like the Rolex movement. I've heard people say to stay away from it but then I've also heard people say they have had no problems with it. In the end I think it's all about luck with these movements if your have problems with them.

For me, it's a simple choice now that the a2836 is available because I know they are easy to fix and service if something goes wrong and there are parts readily available if need be. Plus no one will ever see the decorated movement anyway it's a closed case back and anyone that opens the watch will know it's not a gen.3135 very quickly.

My opinion on decorated 2836 is this.I had a decorated movement in my v3 that died after a few months.but I have a decorated movement in my v3 that's been running perfectly for nearly 2 years.do I think its down to luck if the decorated movement Is solid or not.undecorated 2836 is probably more chance of being reliable long term.

Thanks for your opinion bro, this only confirms my choice in going for the a2836.

I am curious about this though, if the a3135 is essentially the same movement just with a decorated plate that has no function then why would this make the movement any less reliable then the a2836 in the first place?

Does it have to do with the way the plate is attached to the movement or something?

My first QC pics were very very disappointing - nothing like the "perfect" SEL's that are on Puretime's pictures. There will have to be a significant improvement in the next offering or I will be cancelling my order.

No just post the pics as your not asking us to pick out flaws we just want to see it.mods will be fine as it's a new watch and your the first to pull the trigger.can u post the pics of the one u refused.
