So the practice assemblies went well on my Asian clone 2836. I did not do quite as many as I had planed but it was time to tackle something real.

I bought a eta 2452 relatively cheap on eBay. This is a nice movement as it is a low beat that matches the 18000 bph rate of early subs. Eta quality and the only down side I see is the keyless have a screw instead of a push crown release. In operation is nice but it's tough to get together. Also the post on the rotor is a little strange and I think will take some tweaking to get right.

Movement in parts

Not bad for a old 18000bph movement.

I got a couple more coming soon to refurb. I am tempted to put this in my Yuki Ranger kit but I I have a 21600bph eta 2783 that I think will work better saving this for a 5508. Still looking for 5508/10 dials as I think they will be perfect in the tiger concept cases.
