I really want a PAM682/973

Hey guys,

I have a VSF PAM1055 and I love the watch way more than I thought I would, however the green color is a bit tricky to match with the straps I want so I’ve been searching high and low for a way to get a hold of a 682 or 973 without any luck.

Has anyone heard any news or rumblings of either model being repped soon OR do you know where I could find a black dial to install in my 1055.

Any help appreciated!

Hello.

Well, judging by the wording of the question, you understand that no one ever made the PAM973, and the PAM682 from XF is a watch that has not been produced for a long time.

I haven't heard any news about upcoming releases, and all I see as chances are:
- Take a closer look at the dials of similar models of cheap factories
- Try to place WTB on such a dial.
- Trying to buy a PAM683 VSF and replace the dial.

There are no revelations, everything is not convenient and trite, but I don’t think that there are more options.

Yea, finding a ZF or XF 682 is really tough.
I appreciate the feedback! One thought that popped into my head now was that I could buy the 683 and just swap the bezel out.
I’ll see if my seller can get it separately.

same idea here... I am thinking about to merge my 683 + 1055 to a 682, but I am hesitating considering that I have to sacrify 2 watches to get 1

anyway, getting a 682 is an impossible task: 1) I have never seen one in m2m since I am looking for it and 2) there are so many others hunting a 682 that you have to sleep with your laptop in your bed to be the first one to discover it, in case it shows up here

someone told me that there is supposed to be a thread here in this forum concerning this idea? But I heard the owner didn't change the dial - his idea was to change the bezel...

If you swap the dials around, you can get a green-dialed 683 which might end up being cool although a fantasy piece. I think the green dial and the black bezel could match well and give it a military look

Update, I bought a PAM683 off a member on the forum and it passed customs on Friday so I am excited to get this project completed if it arrives next week.
In preparation I removed the bezel assembly of my 1055, it was really simple with a car interior plastic tool

I am very pleased with the mod and I finally have my dream watch. The 1055 doesn't look too bad with the black bezel either, a little impressed to be honest!

They both look great. The '682' looks particularly good. If it existed it might edge my desire for the 1055. I'm a sucker for those blue highlights.

Not sure how I missed those differences on a quick look!

It may just be the photo of the 682 but yours looks much better.

I think I'd quite like to own that fantasy 1055...

Where can you find a 1055? I asked a lot of dealers with no luck.

Doesn't really matter as much to me now though as Snil's 'modded' 1055 is on its way to me now

Nope, I tried sourcing one for months and eventually just had to get both watches
