6.5" wrister chiming in.
IMO, the SFSO will be too big for him, really overwhelming, it's a massive watch. Same goes for the Evo.
I have a gorgeous SS Navi Serie Speciale, blue dial from Joshua and it fits my slim wrist very well.

I decided to go with a used SS navitimer for now. It's in minty fresh condition and will introduce him to watches 40mm and up.

If he likes it from there, then i'm sure i can move him towards the SO anytime or... he ends up getting one on his own

btw... his wife helped me out and we found his wrists to be about the same size as mine 6... 6.25 inches

OH boy! can't wait when he gets it
