The 001 should not have A/R - so maybe I will give it a shot with your method.
Regarding the the CG fit - Angus told me that this case is made from another factory. so, it might be a gamble to try to fit it to your 114, I am not sure. From my experience, you also need to make sure that the CG goes with the crown as well... for example, Ruby's famous 036's CG won't fit a normal 177... it'll be too tight of a fit. Normal 177 usually comes with thinner crown but with really really long stem.
