Hello everyone!
Yes, all backwards, I introduce myself after buying and reviewing.
I explain at length and with my poor English my story and how I ended up here.
Quite a few years ago I wanted a good watch and bought a TagHeuer Aquaracer (bad decision). Years later and without having any idea of the rep world and just out of curiosity I bought a Royal Oak rep in DHG that despite its many defects (especially in the bracelet) and costing just over 80 €, today still works great.
About a year and a half ago I started to delve deeper into this forum, just reading, without participating and reserving my intention to buy for another time. First I thought about a Santos, then a Nautilus (when researching a little more I discarded the latter), and finally I decided on a Rolex, since the factories have more interest in improving than with other brands by the demand itself.
Anyway, I started looking at Rolex models and the smartest decision considering the quality of the replicas seemed to be the submariner and the daytona. But there was a problem, those models did not convince me and did not fit with my style of dress. I wanted something more elegant or “sophisticated”, and I started looking at DJ41 and DD, but since there are no DD Super Reps, I decided to focus on the DJ41.
I was still hesitant though... Would a NWBIG Submariner rep be much better quality than a Date Just? Would it be worth it? VSF or Clean? I finally made the decision, searched the forum for a TD in Europe and ordered a DJ41 from VSF smooth bezel, jubilee bracelet and rhodium dial. I received it this week and it's not perfect, but it's very nice and you can feel the quality.
To the point...
What was the problem and what got me into this vice now? I ordered it with smooth bezel to minimize the differences with the gen, but I like the fluted bezel much more. Because of this I started researching mods, franken, etc... and have gone down the rabbit hole; crystals, platings, maintenance, genuine parts, modders in the community... and I love it.
I'm already thinking about my next purchase.
Sorry for writing a presentation longer than Elon Musk's biography.
