Please do! I'd really like to see some examples of what gets delivered. Lume color and crispness, especially. The first photos didn't look good for either aspect...

paid already, just waiting for him to let me know of ship date.

I kept drooling on it and I just have to have it.

I'll do a good long review.

I'll be getting one, for certain. Can't turn down that blue dial. The lume can be fixed if it is sub-standard, but I'm not in a position to buy at the moment, anyway, so I'll see how it goes...

I gave it a lot of thought and I think there is nothing wrong with the current lume on the 082 from Davidsen. Simply C3 charged looks that green. I have my 111H superlumed by Finepics, and the lume, when charged, looks green. Now the original must be the same way. The difference on the pictures is whether the lume have- or haven't been charged before the photos taken. It's too bad Davidsen has not confirmed this on the board himself.

The color was only part of it, IMO. The lume "fill" or "print" was ragged and uneven at the edges. I *hope* that was a distortion caused by the photos, but it did NOT appear to be on par with his past offerings. Hence, I can't wait for Novesh's review/impressions.

Hong Kong. Wait and see, the 'lume's likely not showing in actuality as it appears in the photos. C3 looks whiter in the 'flesh'.

Nice Novesh. [smilie=thumbsup.gif]

I'm sure with more pictures and a 'hands on' review from you, the tidal wave of orders to DSN will follow.

I have a watch box pillow reserved for an 082.

The fact that GENs behave the same way in the shop display, makes me wonder about this 'debate' .. C3 has a mint green look to it. Why do people want it to look like C1 which is white. Panerai doesn't use C1, they use C3?

The Pam082 was a Luminova, not a Tritium dial, so it should behave like any other luminova treated Panerai dial. The greenish, yellowish, white look is correct. It's only incorrect when you are dealing with older Tritium lumed dials. Seems to me you are complaining over the fact that the brightness of the lume on the dial is showing up in a daylight image ... when did that become a deficit?

Good point!

Actually, I wondering recently about the lighting used by ADs aswell as the possibility that they may use glass on their cases/windows that appears to have a magnifying effect.

I have noticed some gens looking irrestible lit up through the glass at the AD, but then looking more ordinary in normal circumstances.

The display techniques used by some ADs seems to be a science in itself.
