The last few weeks I have been off work, and in between playing sports with my son, eating, and watching football. I have resumed my search for the perfect watch. I love military watches and consider myself a true dive watch lover. The brand reviewed below is highly regarded, and after doing a lot of research I can see why. Instead of waiting for a Tudor Black Bay or the Perfect Sub, maybe save a few extra dollars and give this baby a try. Most of you on other forums are probably very familiar with the brand, and I think I may have found the Best Sub!! Please post brands that you feel rival this watch I know a few exist that I have not found....

Too long for me to read it all, looks like a sub rep, same thing on ebay is 200 bucks from china with a sterile dial

hmm..looks good as a base to start a build..

Um, why? The case is not a direct rep of a sub case, it's larger than the gen sub for starters.
Damn nice watch but 'taint no best sub pilgrim.

No this is a high quality Swiss manufactured but American made masterpiece. The video review is awesome. No rep can compare to watch like this. This is Homage collectors grail watch. Any other companies out there? Squale or Glycine perhaps??

Helenarou makes a pretty damn good watch for the money? Also on the cheap, Tiger Concepts are not bad. Their not American made but also not the price.

Um, Squale do not make homages! Squale have been making dive watches since before there was a Rolex Sub. They also make cases for Doxa, Blancpain (the 50 Fathoms is a Squale case) and both Tag Heuer and Heuer amongst others. Any watch bearing the Squale mark on the dial (as opposed to cases made for others) is an original design bearing many unique features such as the bezel lock.

Read everything about this watch. Website cover to cover. Company is based in the USA. All kinds of quality claims and descriptions. Ok, ok, great, I believe them! But being based in the USA, they should at least have a damn phone number you can call. And speak to a knowledgeable person, employee, or production technician. Without that little "personal touch", they ain't getting my money! In this day and age, an 800,877,or 888 number is dirt cheap! And not putting them down, but do you honestly, really now, believe they are using a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool Swiss made ETA 2836-2 movement. Or rather a really well made and selected A2836. And no mention of accuracy! Nice watch, but............well again, nice watch.

Ah, yes I do.
You are beginning to strike me as a very negative person, not much of this world meets your standards huh?

Bill Yao at MKII has a great rep on WUS. He started off doing mods to Seiko monsters. I had my orange monster converted to a custom MKII yellow dial about 10 years ago.
Now he's strictly building high end rolly homages. Some limited editions now sell for premiums. Really good quality

Thank you for your post.

I guess my initial point was missed a bit. We spend so much money (myself included) "frankening" watches to get them close to Gen. at a fraction of Gen prices. But a watch like this is a master piece and for under 1K a steal. Sure it is not a Rolex nor would it demand the notoriety and attention, but amongst people that know and love watches this would get a lot of attention.

My point was maybe consider a really nice Homage rather than spending money on a Franken piece that will never give you an ROI. These sell for much more than original sale value. The MKII Kingston was $1600.00 and now sells for $3000.00.

Does anyone know of a better Homage maker/boutique diver brand?? MKII reminds me a bit of RXW, and we know that those are so awesome they are replicated.

The MKII Stingray Fifty fathoms homage is pretty slick. From people I know that have MKII's they swear by them as great watches.
