Could the tachy ring be replaced with a steeper angled one so the date window looks properly positioned? My biggest reason for sticking away from roo is the tachy touching the date window.

Really? So the thickness doesn't bother you?
Don't own a gen or Franken so ;)

While it’s certainly a couple mm thicker, my wrist keeps that completely hidden.

Amazing detailed thread mate. Love your dedication for the RCRG on of my favorite ROOs. I have been modding mine for almost about 2 years.
Enjoy your awesome hybrid RGRC!!

Yes, anything is possible. But the main issue is you will be replacing one problem with another. The slope of the curve on the tachy adds to the signature look of the offshore, changing that is a slippery slope.

Currently three main options are being explored by the community.

1. Shaved tachy - this where the inside of the current rep tachy is carefully shaved to thin it, thus exposing space between dw window and the inside edge of tachy.

2. Custom tachy - this is more of what you've asked for. Focus was given to keep the slope, font and shape relative while making the tachy itself narrower.

3. Franken - gen dial and tachy used. Inaccuracy corrected.

Stellar review friend. Quick question, you noted the difference in width (crystal to caseback) between the Noob and JF, but where does the gen fall for width? The noobs looks noticeably taller on the wrist to me....

Dear watch enthusiasts,

This watch is honestly very special to me and ever since I saw itt in 2010 I fell in love - hugely. Still to this day im thinking of this watch.
It just has that special thing to itt, cant really explain itt - Im really wanna buy this one but - just thinking to much: is it to flashy? Can you wear itt with a suit? etc.,

The 44mm is also a quite unique and sublieme piece but doesnt hace that special feeling, like I have with the rubberclad rose gold.

What do you think? Can you wear this with a suit? And also; I wear I LV I care bag and wouldnt itt be to much of a flashy precense?

Hope hearing from you greets, B

Thanks for this, I have the JF version, it is interesting that you picked the JF dial in your ultimate build, I cant comment exactly because I have never seen the gen in person but the JF dial seems to be very glossy and more grey/brown than the gen, I still love it though, great rep!
