It's over for me for awhile - Everyone that was able to get the Ceramic HBB watch you wanted - be happy, i am. I was just told the same as everyone here in a email. Prices edge to $1000.

The SS still looks cool at $350-400 - Waterproofed

Time to drift back down to earth as the chemicals where off.

Why? Why is everyone having wet dreams about these things?
It is all about personal taste and fear of losing a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Do you like Scarlet Johanson? This is personal taste.
Should you buy Google stock today? This might be a once in a life time opportunity.
Now, the answers vary according to people.

On the other hand, if the HBB lite is ok to be priced at ~300$, then you'll have to factor in the faster A7750(50$~look at the 3717 example), the excellent double AR(75$), and the ceramic bezel(???$) of the pricey models. I mean, sooner or later there might be another ceramic plant making custom orders for our manufacturers, but they will not be OEM. Very close, but not OEM. How much people pay these days for a OEM rolex bezel (not the insert, the whole bezel..)? How much does Hublot charge for a replacement bezel if one gets cracked or wants to replace it in a 19.000$ watch?

In the end it has more to do with how much you like scarlet johanson, or that polished bezel contrasting the rose gold case..

edit: Mr Biver has replied (May 07, 2007) in timezone for a 41 Big Bang bezel change as follows :"The cost will be 1'000$ and might take some time as we are short with the ceramic bezels." FWIW

The first story about the REP ceramic bezel being OEM turns out to be not true. OEM are made in Japan by Kyocera.

Now this? Stopping production on ceramic bezels and replacing it with PVD stainless steel version. Most likely another lie to jack up the price.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

I'd rather get a genuine Omega or Tag or a used Cartier than a $700~$1000 rep HBB...

It seems that the cartels once again are in for a quick price fixing.

dealers are second tier to manufacturers..

and have zero influence on market forces, requests etc.,

the makers spend big bucks to replicate, buying new watches...

contrary to what is 'known' and reqeusted.. there are far more

markets than forums of replication as the ones we know..

think what you want, believe what you want.. manufacturers

see dealers as servants, not as drivers.. much of money is invested

in replication at the manufacturor level..
