Hublot deployment buckle

I have searched this section and have not found a solution to this problem, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have a Hublot Big Bang Uefa special edition. Love the watch but it is the most uncomfortable thing to wear because the deployment buckle digs into my wrist. Is this common, and, if so, does anyone have a solution?

My KP has the same issue.
I thought I was gonna die everytime I wore it - however after a few days, you get used to it. I don't even feel it anymore and it doesn't even show the mark.

My bet would be to keep wearing it and let the strap fit your wrist.

LoL, i feel your pain (obviously). However, I have had this watch almost a year now & the problem persists. It has gotten a lot of wrist time, but it deserves more.

Ah I see...

I bet you could get a thin piece of foam with double sided tape on one side and just stick it on the metal part on the inside of the buckle.
It wouldn't be noticeable and I can imagine that it would be significantly more comfortable.

Like this...

just look in the never ending post of the v6...
you will find the solution, it is not the clasp.

Same problem here. Tried everything and nothing worked. I just can't stand those deployants. That's why my hublots are all ending up on bracelets.

Sorry mate, I'll have to disagree at least in my case. Tried all sorts of combinations and even modifications, and my wrist just hates the clasp. It's possibly the shape. But look, that's not unusual for me... I'm pretty bad with a lot of clasps, buckles, straps, etc. I often just end up wearing bracelets. They are often the only thing I can wear comfortably for a long time.

Wearing a softer strap (V6) will help indeed.
One solution which I successfuly tried is to bend some part in the clasp (can't find the post right now).
You can also try to reverse the buckle so it opens the opposite way.

I think I know what you mean, its the edges that I circled in red. Those are pretty sharp and leave marks on the skin. I dont know if anyone has posted how to fix those edges but would love to have someone show us again.

I wonder if it's a problem even for gen Hublots

No they took care of that on the genuine. The buckle has those extreme edges that are quite sharp in my opinion but we need an expert to show us how to soften them

Interesting. The problem for me is actually the entire big section of the clasp. It bugs me big time. It might have also something to do with the fact that I like to wear my watches loose, which means more movement and hence more opportunities for friction etc. A while back I substituted the clasp on a Hublot rubber strap with a standard buckle from a strap. That was a lot more comfortable, but frankly, it looked pretty bad too!

Try a genuine if the clasp feels uncomfortable then most likely Hublot is not a suitable watch for you

I have two V6 clasps, one SS and one PVD black. The PVD black clasp is not bad on the wrist right out of the box, but the SS clasp is a nightmare.

In the past, I have been able to make any HBB clasp comfortable on my wrist (V1, V2, V3) with the simple "5 second mod." However, for some reason, nothing I do can make the V6 clasp tolerable. I eventually gave up and swapped it out for a V2 clasp.

Also, the areas circled in red in the photograph posted by lacosta above are NOT the areas of the clasp that scratch the wrist. The circled areas don't even touch the wrist when the clasp is closed. The sharp parts are on the other side of the clasp.

You're getting closer, but you're still showing the wrong side of the clasp. The sharp points are in the area you have circled, but on the other side of the clasp. You can see the point in your top circle - it's just on the other side.

How can you smoothen those sharp edges? There must be a way without damaging the buckle

I did it with a dremel. It did make a difference if that's the source of your problems with the clasp.

Try a genuine if the clasp feels uncomfortable then most likely Hublot is not a suitable watch for you

You can get bracelets. I now have bracelets on all my Hublots. They feel fantastic.
