Help! I have just tried to replace my AP ROO Diver rubber strap, I bought the replacement from Ebay, cheap I admit, no buckle with it, was just going to swap my rep buckle over....anyway, I am unable to align the holes on the strap to the two brushed strap links, to attach it...it's like you have to maintain a constant pressure (a lot) pushing the strap as hard as you can against the watch (compressing the rubber) and at the same time, push through the bar......impossible, for me any way. Is this a watch smith job, is there some kind of tool required to do this....I tried to dremel the edge of the rubber strap, to effectively move the strap holes closer towards the watch, which worked, until I looked afterwards and saw that the straps looks crap on the edge where it joins the brushed links, just doesn't fit snuggly like it should...any help appreciated. OR is it because its a cheap strap and therefore out of alignment...if so, where do I need to get a suitable rubber strap from?

Did you oil the screws?
First of all, remove satin end links from the case and fix them to the rubber strap.
Then fix end link with rubber attached to case.
It takes a little bit of effort, but it succeeds.
The rubber band needs to have that slight lump that holds the band securely fixed in place

Why don’t you get the rubber straps from the dealer? JF and XF straps are interchangeable. And either straps are easily available.

What are you trying to achieve by changing the original straps out? To answer you, straps can be changed by the owner most of the times. It’s not a watchsmith job.

Didn't know I could get extra straps when buying the watch....changing because I have bought an all black watch, black strap but want orange strap now....also, I have small wrists and fucked up a strap trying to make an extra hole, now I have a tool to do it properly.....does that answer your question?

I guess the ebay-Straps have the wrong measures. I change the rubber straps on my ROO Diver regular (to enjoy different colour-combinations ;-)) and never had the problems you describe.

Some from the TD (45 US$ without Buckle) and some form AliExpress (straps8888 Store, 13 US$ with Buckle). The AEX-Straps are a lower in quality but not bad, the ones from my TD are ok. If you want high quality, you should go to known strap manufactors like Horus or Rubber B, but their straps cost nearly as much as a Rep ;-)

Well I don't quite understand your question. Unless you are getting them FOC, you will naturally need to purchase them yes?
And you will need the plots, straps, and buckle. Straps size is 28/24.

I thought if you run lukewarm water on the bracelet it will transform to a rubber strap and cold water will turn the rubber back to a bracelet?!?!?!

bro that is a complete fallacy. I tried that and it magically turned my steel bracelet to gen rose gold. So even though you are a super mod and all, I will need to ask you not to spread "kissing 50" level fallacies. :hehehe:

This is the watch iv bought on the bracelet ...just asking as I’m new to AP..always had Pams..so the 2 little sticky out bits are specifically for either a rubber or bracelet?

If you are currently on bracelet only, you will need to buy the strap (incl. clasp), the plots (4 of them) and one set (2pc) of strap screws. The switch is pure logic and I'm sure you know how that will work out.

The bracelet on mine is to small so I thought I’d add one of the 2 spare links that came with watch, whilst waiting to acquire a rubber strap, what an absolute joke!!!...I must have spent 2hrs this afternoon (and still not done!!) try to put the long screws back in...they seem to go halfway then stop!!...is there a specific way to put them back in??...I almost took a 4lb lump hammer to the thing!!!
