How to identify the different factories

Hi Guys,

I‘m pretty new in the Watch Replica World.

I‘m looking the different trusted dealers for a Rolex Submariner Starbucks.

Since i got fooled, my trust is a bit broken (it was no trusted dealer from here).

Now i ask myself, if there are specific details from the different Factories (Clean, VSF, Noob, BP, EWF) that truly show that this is a real „Clean“ etc. Watch.

Like are they using specific serialnumbers or sth like that, except the stickers on the watch.

Would be glad if u could give me advices 😊✌️

Thanks

You buy the TD actually, this is the most secured way to make sure you get what you order (CF,VSF, etc)

Once you get the watch maybe open the case back to check the movement just to make sure, you can always ask the TD to open and show you the movement to be correct with the manufacturer , most of TD can open and show the movement.

This means you also need to learn what movement each one of them is using and how to differentiate one from another or from cheap shit other movements

In the end you need to go and read a lot here in RWI.

Buy the dealer TD first this is all you need

Needles to say by TD I’m referring to RWI TD checked and historically very good here

Good luck

Where did you hear this? TDs are generally reluctant to open the caseback. After all, why should they? They sourced the rep directly from the factory. The whole point of using a TD is that they reliably supply what you ordered - they aren’t a middle-man prepared to carry out any level of forensic examination you require.

I never asked personally it but noticed / read some post with persons asking and some have luck with TD showing them the case back off

I have the tools to do it myself if I’m curios anyway but as I said he needs to buy the seller (TD) an old saying in the watch world and this is what ensures him that he will get what he orders

Its not that i don’t trust them or so. It also comes down to the point, if you want to buy maybe a pre-owned one from the forum here..

I‘ve read a lot that some send it back, cause it wasn‘t the factory that was mentioned for example.

Don’t blame me guys, for asking and to be sure that i get what i pay for.

I think its normal, that someone wants to be sure, everything is correct, since u spend a couple of hundret bucks for VSF or Clean

You need to do your homework, no one will stay after you to teach what it takes months or years to master - knowing by model which is one or not.

There are no shortcuts here,?read learn buy check understand like or not sell again buy again repeat

All the informations are available here on RWI but you need to have time patience and willing to learn &understantd

I've seen many QC pics on Reddit which includes movement pics

Chill, keep reading. you will learn what you need here. there are serials and a lot of comparisons that will make you recognize, but it takes some reading. The easiest is however to trust the TDs here. the big names will not fool anybody. Nobody will risk a reputation for 500 usd. That is how they would leave the market and the competition is high.

Hont, a TD, recently tried pawning off a BP when someone bought an ARF. Intentional? Hopefully not.

But even with TDs, it’s important to be a well informed buyer and not trust them blindly.

You stare at watches so long you can identify the CG slant, the shape of indices, the dial printing or anything else that goes with this sickness. I've said it before and I'll say it again, develop relationships with your TDs. <--- simplest way to avoid problems.

Exactly this 100 %

I came back to this hobby end of 2023, last time I was involved was ~ 2000 to 2009.
Game has changed drastically, the reps, even a cheapie $130 are way way better, especially aesthetics of the cheapies, and that is exactly where I restarted.

I read read read read and read, before even posting, then a short while after, I found a UK TD who had a very cheap clearance sale black Sub, so I bought it. Since then I have bought a whole bunch off him, no messin, and the quality I'm buying these are really great priced mid tier pieces.

Hell, just yesterday I've also branched out and bought a couple of watches my UK buddy didn't have from another TD in China, and hey so far so good, I don't expect any issues and will hopefully have the 2 pieces before month end.

PATIENCE AND RESEARCH IS THE KEY !!

All the answers are here on RWI

That is a skill set you certainly won't master in the next 3 to 6 months because it requires a lot of reading and real watches (gen and rep) seeing. So in the meantime, the only thing you can do is trust the TDs especially those with lots of good comments and reviews. No one in RWI got scammed by any TDs here, so you have to trust this, or you don't play this game at all.

I came back to the wonderful world of reps late last year as well., after being away for a long time.

Best advice I can give is read the thread of the watch you are interested in. Lots of great comparison threads that include serial codes and clasp codes of specific factories. I still read for about 30 minutes to 1 hour a day so I can increase my knowledge

When you are ready to buy, pick one of the TDs on here or slowly acquire through M2M sales. The members are very good at describing the watch they are selling, including which factory the watch was made at and, at times, which version of the watch it is (V1, V2 etc)

Good luck. and happy reading.

I think you're all missing the point. I've seen RWI TDs on Reddit who have furnished movement pics as part of QC to the buyer. I state this because someone CORRECTLY said you can ask a TD for a movement pic. Then someone said no they won't, which is simply not true.

On a side note, I'm not sure why Reddit gets so crapped on here. It's another source of information. Sure it's a little wild, crazy and at times provides bad information. But when a buyer shows the pics...... Not sure what else to say quite frankly.

jurassic park deal with it GIF

Well, you answered yourself. To make it worse, they shit their pants and come here to ask us to wipe their asses. And when they failed to ask for diapers, they shit another pile of shit here and left.

I came back to

/\ /\ /\ This is very good advice (y)

i forgot to mention M2M, in December I still wasn't ready to try China, and my UK TD didn't have a Breitling Navitimer B01.
i was browsing the M2M and came across a brand new still in wrapping B01, but the guy (understandably) was reluctant to sell to me even though I had got certified and supporter.

After a few messages, despite my low post count, about 24hrs later the UK TD gave me a reference to the M2M guy, as by then I had 2-3 purchases with UK TD.

M2M guy agreed to sell to me, I was over the moon, BLS A7750, fully functional, absolutely beautiful example, IIRC it was my 3rd RWI buy ..........

HTH ;)
