Hi,

I just got my leather strap and I figured out that the glue next to the folding clasp was loose (see the picture)

I would like to fix it myself and want to glue it.

1. How can I fix it? Any recommendations?
2. What kind of glue do I need that the strap wont get loose again?

Thank you for your help!

Thank you very much for your input.
How long will this glue take to harden? Do I need to pressure it somehow before it gets hard?

I don't remember exactly, but I believe it only took a few minutes to dry. I think I left the belt overnight to be safe though. I'd just apply it and hold pressure for a minute or two and you'd probably be fine. Or you could use something simple like a paperweight or some type of clip to hold pressure on longer.

If you want what is arguably one of the best leather glues, use Barge All Purpose Cement. If you want something that works just as good (at least in my opinion) and can be used on basically anything, use DAP Weldwood Contact Cement. The Weldwood sets in about 15 minutes and is flexible. I use the Weldwood on everything and it works great. It's about $5 at the big box stores. I haven't seen Barge at the stores, but then again I haven't looked for it.
