I know East Coasters can be pretty direct…but to write-off ALL watchmakers in Massachusetts, wow. 🙃

I’m glad you found one you’re happy with elsewhere! Keep us posted on what you have done and by whom.

I'm from Massachusetts, and they don't call us drivers "massholes" for no reason :)

I didn't mean ALL Massachusetts watch makers are the same. I just said people are better off going else where. I called 6 of them and 3 hung up after I said they were reps and i got them as gifts, and 3 of them started laughing. I mean, they definitely could've been nicer about it :(

I've already brought two of my subs to a WM in vermont and one of them in NH, so i'll update the thread after some time passes to see if i have any issues with them in the long run. I also want to ask them if they're willing to let me disclose their info on RWI before.

Hi guys. I bought a Breitling Chronomat and the wind is very loose, so the watch is extreme loud. Does anyone know a watchsmith in the EU area who is working on replicas, please shoot me a PM.
Thanks a lot.

I went once to a high-class store where I knew the manager but unfortunately he left the business and now when I told them that I had a 1:1 Rolex replica that needed some service they told me to bring it in. Once I came with the watch, they told me that unfortunately they can't handle a fake mechanism, even though it was the state of the art DD Clean 3285 1:1 clone.

So, disappointed as I was, I left the high-class store which sold second hand Rolexes and other high class new watches and I went to a small boutique that I knew for ages. I didn't knew if the watchsmith could handle such a repair but fortunately enough for me it was just one screw that wasn't pushed enough, so it felt inside the mechanism.

The cost of repair was around 63$ but it worth it. So don't look after the big stores and try to find the local small ones and also don't call them before, they might trip over thinking it's a control from the authorities. Better to go in person and have a little chat before...

Nice! I went to a boutique inside the prudential mall in Boston the other day and they serviced the watch with my own provided watch oils (some Swiss oil that costs $60 for a small bottle, forgot the name. Starts with an H I think).

They also put in some genuine parts I bought off of eBay. Great experience and over all I’m happy. They even fixed the notorious rotor wheel making about of noise by cleaning it and re oiling. So I agree with you, best go to small mom and pop shops.
