Hi guys, I know if you go youtube. Most probably you can easily find video of how to change a gen Rolex bezel.

BUT if you try to change an replica rolex, I can tell you, most likely you can't find an replica rolex video and gen rolex bezel operate differently. Although the gen/rep usage are the same. 120 clicks and anti-clockwise direction only.

First you need to have an knife like this

Then you need to take out yr bracelet and mask the lug like this to prevent further damage to yr well polish new watch.

After that you need to place yr knife on the gap in between the bezel and watch case.

Next step is to force it in between the gap of the bezel ,try to use the lug as a support on the knife so that you will have a easier time open the bezel and you will heard a click sound. This means the bezel is release from the watch case and you need to take out the bezel carefully and slowly cos they are some components you need to make sure its available and not lost. SOme are real small...

You will see parts like this... Total of 5 parts including the watch case. Bezel, bezel holder, octagon spring and a very small pin for yr bezel 120times clicking sound...

Get ready yr new bezel and place the very small pin onto the small hole on 35mins area outside the dial. Then put bezel holder into the watch case.

Once its place in, it will looks like this

Then get the otagon spring and place it into the bezel holder, try to sqyeeze in between the gap of the watch case and bezel holder. Use a tweezer and push in slowly until the spring is hide inside the bezel holder. Becareful not to push too hard and deform the fragile spring. Everything needs patience.

Once its in, it will look something like this(I know its hard to spot the spring inside the gap..).

Then use double sided tape to apply around the new bezel(Gen need not double side tape to hold it, Pushing into the bezel holder will do the job). Rep stuff is abit crappy but as long it works and cheaply, who cares( the white color thing is the double sided tape)?

Finally, you are ready to apply the last step which is to snap the bezel onto the bezel holder , Position properly so that the pearl will align properly with yr 60mins dial before you apply full pressure of the bezel into the holder.

And before you do all this, you can do a check of yr bezel holder by making a full turn, ,make sure its firmly/securely place onto the watch case.

Finally, a rep bezel change is completed.

This method should work on any version. One important note though, the bezel ratchet pin-thingy has a spring under it that goes into the case hole.

Be careful when removing the bezel, if you lose it, it's a PITA to replace.

I had to replace one by finding a nail and trimming it to fit. Not fun.

When installing the replacement insert, I've always used little drops of clear silicone around the edge of the insert. Lots of little is better than little lots. :) Nice thing about the silicone is that if for some reason you did put too much, it'll rub off once dry.

Regarding the spring- deforming it makes for a very messy project. You might not think that it would but it really mucks things up if it's not in the same shape it started.

Great thread, I tried to remove the bezel on my sub, no matter how hard I push the knife in it wouldnt pop, I just ended up scratching it. Gonna try again soon. Probably tonight.

Alternativ: take out movement, pop out crysral, remove bezel with toothpic, glue in new bezel, let dry, crystal and movement back, et voila. Done it, it's easy. There is a thread in the tutorials; but can' t find it atm.
@ murk. Pm me if you need help ;)
