A3126 is marketing babble.
It's an a7750, yes they can be a little noisy, but not like the miyota's. Perfectly acceptable IMO

I've seen some guys do it. Just do a Powermatic 80 just like I did. Super reliable so far.
So this really works?
I am waiting for an AP Diver 15703 from ZF with A2824-2 and that would be perfect. To sum it up: by 1:1 swapping out the movement against a powermatic 80 I will have a very modern, accurate and reliable swiss movement with 80 h power reserve with the correct beat of the original movement in an excellent rep case?
I am excited.
One more question: is the date wheel also interchangeable? Thanks!

The powermatic80 is not my personal movement of choice for the diver. It is essentially a 2824 with modifications done with nylon parts to improve the power reserve and it’s less serviceable. I’m not impressed with it myself, due to the difficulty of maintaining it properly and more importantly, like the rep 2824 movement it features a slow date change whereas the change is instant in the gen. Yes the rep datewheel will fit.
There is nothing great these days about the movement being swiss if it costs a premium. A well maintained asian movement can be of equal quality with the Swiss one, the key factor being proper maintenance.
My movement of choice for the rep diver will be a low beat converted and serviced 2836 movement which features the instant date flip as per gen. To each his own, but for me the powermatic80 is just a movement offering an unnecessarily long power reserve for less serviceability. If you’re paying a few hundred for it, it’s not worth the premium for me.
Like I said, to each his own. I would say replacing the A2824 with a P80 does not offer any meaningful advantage. 80hrs reserve? Not bad but setting the watch is but a minute’s work and pleasure for me.
Replacing the stock movement with a low beat converted hybrid 2836? You got my attention. That is a proper rep diver movement for me. Swiss movements are overrated for reps when a well maintained modern Asian caliber will do the job.

Thanks for your answer. I thought that the A2824-2 Datewheel does not fit the 2836? For me it would be better to have it at the correct beat than a fast date change (am asleep there anyway ;-)
I also saw a modification of the A2824-2 with parts of the 2846 (https://rwg.cc/topic/154653-ap-diver-with-low-beat-2824-success/).
That would be best for me, but is hard to find the parts.
Have you heard of it? What do you think of it?

The 2824 dw and 2836 one are not interchangeable but if you look at the divers from xf factory, they use the 2836 movement and with a better datewheel than any of the 2824 variant.
So it is possible to have the correct beat AND the correct instant date change as a 2836
movement can be converted to lowbeat too.
I’ve already told you what I think actually: all 2824 based movements are wrong for the rep divers IMHO. If you know your APs, you’ll know that the slow date roll is wrong. Gen APs don’t do that. If you’re serious about your diver, use a 2836 movement from the xf diver and do a lowbeat conversion/service and regulation on it. That way it will be the perfect movement with a better datewheel, an instant date change and the correct beat 21600bph.
Low beat conversion parts are not hard to find at all. If you want my advice, start with the xf diver 2836 movement/datewheel. It’s easier to do a lowbeat conversion from there.
