How often are you wearing your watch?

I see that many people are buying multiple watches, do you need to adjust the time each time you wear your watch.

I have 1 watch and if I don't wear it for 2 days when I go to wear it my watch has stopped.
Any tips to keep the watch going other than to wear it everyday. Thanks

You could buy one of those new fangled watch winding boxes. Them that makes the watch go round and round by some sort of mysterious lectronical force. I heard tell they'll keep a watch running ferever...

Buy a quartz. Keeps better time than any automatic and you'll have to change batteries every 1-2 years.

I’m selling all my watches.

I used to have 12 watches but was sad about not wearing them.

I’m going to keep only four and it’s more than enough.

Maybe put it in your pocket when you're not wearing it?

If you don't have a girlfriend, you can also wear the watch on the arm you are busy with yourself.
when you are younger
the watch will probably not fully charge.
but as you get older, the watch will always be fully charged :)

Never had power reserve problems my whole life. Never. The only thing is my watches run all too fast. Wonder why...?

This thread had me in stitches. Seriously though I find myself having to wind whatever watch I wanna wear at the time I want to wear it, gen or not. Some of the power reserves are pretty good but then it's always the case that it's got nothing in the tank when I wanna wear it. Sods law.

Does anyone actually use those winder boxes?

There are two factions in regard to winder boxes:

A) The ones that think that it actually prolonges the life of the movement because when in a winder, the lubricants don't get a chance to gum up, which is bad for overall longevity.

B) The ones that think that this is silly because modern lubricants cannot be compared to those of the 1950/60s when this was indeed the case, but nowadays watch winders just put unnecessary wear and tear on the movement.

In which group you find yourself will be a matter of truly personal opinion. I happen to be in B.

PS: I'd like to add that I never had a replica movement fail on me. But that's not really saying much, as my rep experience doesn't go back further than 2 years and 1 month, but perhaps it says at least a little bit. 😆
