How much have you spent so far on reps?

May I ask: how are people here actually calculating their money spent on watches? Are you just summing up all expenses ever made and state the result as the total amount, or do you take the revenues from sales into consideration?
For example, if someone states that he/she spent 10k for reps, does that mean that he's in possession of reps worth 10k, or does that rather mean that he bought, then sold, then bought, then sold, ... various reps and all of the purchases sum up to 10k...?

That's exactly what I was wondering too.
I myself have never sold one of my pieces, so therefore what I have quoted is what I have spent!

When quoted 10k minimum I was taking into acct selling pieces and replacing. I'm currently a little over 5k in the collection now but I have sold watches to fund other projects that aren't watch related. Also I didn't take into consideration a lot of the modding and servicing I've done which is why I say minimum of 10k

16k as collection stands today traded 36-39k so far but that includes gens too, and as Subjeff lost a fair bit too !
Good point but I assume everyone is quoting the amount that they have in possession. Otherwise they are plums.
Well the question wasn't how much money is in your watch box it was how much have you spent on reps so far.

Have you thought about adding a Rolex or two to your collection? Give them a try... you never know, you may finish up getting a few :rofl:

Frankly it's just better if I don't even think about it. Probably could have paid of my car loan with all the money I sent to China.
