I just saw another thread here about the 390 being discontinued, now that I've checked Puretime's website it seems that the 112, 176 and 000 from Noob is gone !! Does anyone have any further info about this? I don't know if this is related to the recent raids that has been happening in China :/

There is no formal announcement. Noob did hold a PAM sale a few months ago but this did not come with any hint that Noob was discontinuing any model. Dealers might have a better idea so it would be great to have their inputs on the matter. :)

I don't like the sounds of this. I've just recently decided I want to try my first pam. Trying to research 44mm luminor base or marina models and 45mm radiomir models.

I'm interested in the 111, 112, 000, 005, 390, 366, 360, 009, 195, 004

And 210, 183, 380, 292

But i'm so overwhelmed by all the models! Lol

Can anybody answer a question for me? What is the difference between ordering from dsn watches and from a TD? Is dsn watches basically the "tc sub maker" of Panerai?

No way. DSN makes his own models. Some are interesting because they are not available from regular makers (h factory noob etc) like the 027 and 057 series. But usually his models are inferior to the noob, kw, and h factory models.

So the equivalent of TC sub - would be Marlin or Stroda modded 111/127 manual watches. And then next level would be BK's 111. Those would be your step up from stock models.

Thank you for that response. I noticed dsn because he seems to have a selection of the pre-a models and pvd models that the tds don't carry.

I'll have to look into what marlin, strodda and bk offer.

Or I could just pop my cherry and grab a 111 like everybody else haha

I think that is your best bet, the 111 is so good....

So for your very first one - I would recommend a manual winding - closed case back option. Hides the movement flaws and the noob/kw/h fav versions are gorgeous. Once you know for sure you are hooked, start looking at the autos and the modded ones.

If you are set on the more Vintage pre v models then DSN might be your best bet for a starter. For vintage pams, take to Kilo. This guy knows sooo much. :)

I am not huge on the PVD models myself but I know a bunch of guys who love them. But even if you go the 111 route - I am certain you will not regret it. These watches are just amazing and addicting. I can't go 2 days max without wearing a PAM. Your wrist gets so used to the crown guard being there lol. My 359 on orloff says hello

Their best are/were 111, 292, 364, 356, 088 and 243. Other than those, other factories mostly have you covered (with a mod here and there)?

Thank you for your responses guys !! Hopefully as @mysterio said the TD could give some input on the matter and as of now it seems the best way is to create a mash up by buying Hfact and then replace the caseset with the Noob's 111 to avoid that fat bezel...

I really hope Noob is going to 're-release' the other PAM's was planning to buy a 390, 360 thankfully still got my 005 here [emoji2] cant live without it !

I would suggest the 111 V4 and if you're into something a little different like you said DSN offers some very interesting pieces - the 028 and 027 is a good choice and pretty accurate.

For the other Pre A and Pre V models 00x, 5218/20xx they are pretty good but aren't as accurate as noob.. Check out @kilowatore signature he has some reviews on some of the DSN's.

Either way can't go wrong with a 111 V4 from Noob for a starting Panerai !

That's me, I've went for noob v4 111, if that even exists.....

Fingers crossed it's going to be everything I want, I very nearly purchased the gen but backed out with the nagging of my wife to be, apparently August wedding is more of a priority?

I'm going to post the QC pics of my PAM111 so hopefully ALE will have a look at what's what.

I think next up will be a black cased PAM, I love the 580 but no reps of it out there!! [emoji107]

I agree with the above posts, noob makes the best luminor pams but seems to be discontinuing production. H fac and kw are good alternatives but slightly inferior.
As for pre-v, pre-a models Davidsen is the only one offering them but seems to be discontinuing as well..
Make your choice while you can! :)

Women and their priorities. Wedding preparations over a PAM? And just to correct your statement, there are no accurate reps of PAM580. But there are reps. ;)

Why would noob be discontinuing the super reps?

Only the factory itself can answer that question. Best answer would be Noob is depleting all the current version stock to come out with a new (and hopefully better) version.

Fingers crossed that this is it!

I waited for too long to get some of the classic super reps from Noob, like 000/005, 177 and 390 and now they're all gone! Hope they'll get back at some point.

Could be that the price point is too low, with competition from other makers in this space, and there's more money to be made with the more complex and thus more expensive reps?

Also remember reading a while back that Noob was restructuring or fusioning with another maker, wonder if that has made any difference in terms of strategy.
