How many of you 7750 owners use your chrono function?

Just one mans opinion but I actually rather like this A7750, I bought a skyland with a non-running movement and when I received it and took it apart it was an easy fix, just had to reassemble the back side (chrono hammers, winding assembly ect..) and its been bomb proof ever since! I play with the chronos literally every time I wear the watch (doing it as I type lol) and almost doing it as a test for my self to see how these movements are and knock on wood its been flawless!
I honestly think if you have someone go over your movement, making sure all screws are tight and what not it will be an awesome movement, mine has been to me....not so much to the first owner but thats why you give it a once over and youll be good to go! Love this movement now :)
Your mileage may vary but it is honestly a better movement than most give credit to......heck after all...it was a shanghai 3lzf2 powered watch ( thats what the high beat 7750's are..) that China sent to space, so they cant be that bad ;)

I've got a few A7750's, one was serviced by G... He told me to feel free to use the chronos, just be sure to RESET IT WITHIN 10 SECONDS OF ZERO (12)...I've done this for over a year and a half, and have had no problems...G said that this is when almost all damage to the chrono complication occurs, on the reset...:maty:

People are still going on about this? lol, it's simple, don't use chronos if you feel you're going to break them and are paranoid, use them if you must use them, they're there for a reason.

No need to spread false paranoia, the problems are few and far between, nothing is perfect, even gens go to hell every once in a while.

So true!! I guess some people don't realise how many of these movements are sold in reps... Guys, every time you hear someone whining about one, or saying "I know this guy whose 7750 blew up" and yada yada, just think of the thousands of people who are quietly happy with their 7750s and don't make much noise about them. Nobody boasts about a working movement, but we shout from the rooftops as soon as one goes wrong. For every 7750 that blows up there are shitloads that are completely fine. Just enjoy them.

i have had nothing but problems with my a7750 watches. using the chronos has caused me to have a broken hammer and misaligned minute counter hands. coincidentally just today i had to reset the minute counter because it started to reset to '12' instead of '0'. after trying to use my chronos because i too believe you should use the chrono if you have the feature, i had to reluctantly make a vow to not use my a7750 chronos unless i get the watch serviced.

on a positive note, i never had this issue w/ eta 7750s. i have a few of those and they are great.

the other problem with the a7750s not related to chrono functions is that the rotor spins when i wind the watch. i have 3 watches that do this and it is super annoying.

I've collected watches for a few years and have a handful of chronos. I still have no idea how to use them nor do I care. If I need stop watch capabilities, I'll pull out my iPhone. I like the look of Chronos on some watches as a design element, but it doesn't go any further than that. And yes...I do worry about more stuff to break on cheaply made reps if they have a chrono.
