If we see a website that is not under the TD list, then red flags raise.

It's worth bearing in mind that there's never been any rule against "non TD site" URLs being posted. In fact there's a whole sub-forum dedicated to discussing and reviewing non-TD sites.

I understand that in this instance the mods made the incorrect assumption that the URL was a scam. But I'm mentioning the point about non-TD sites because I've seen a couple of links deleted recently with the explanation "not a TD link". That's not what's important - what's important is deleting links to scam sites.

That made my day. And it just started.

Trust me, though: Yes, @Feefo and me are here to protect and serve and take the heat off the ones that are a little bit lazy to read the stickies at first, but if nudged in the right direction, they have good potential to become contributing members, which they wouldn't if you mercilessly tear them apart at their first post.

But once in a while, I'd say at least bi-weekly (actually more), some real knucklehead troll pops up.

And trust me, there's no directive per D4M or TB99 or any other senior admins, whatsoever, to protect them. They're fair game, at least in my estimation, once they've clearly identified themselves. Lots of potential fun possibilities with them!

I'm busy with work right now but I'll be going thru this tonight to work out who I should be banning and I'm sure it will be one or two at least because this whole thread stinks to high heaven of shilling by one and possibly two parties because this reaks of scripted BS not an honest review. I think there's a bit of misunderstanding.
Steve does not sell watches from that yupoo web page, it's a list of what he has in stock only. No sales from there. That page says you must to to the official onewatches site to order. It is for stock listing only and as I check it occasionally it does change and he gets more stock or sells out of something.
He's legit as we all know but there has been a lot of shite posted from people who do not know. I've had Steve send me the link to the page when I asked what do you have in stock for fast QC/delivery. Again I will say he does not sell watches from that site, it clearly says go to onewatches site to purchase, there's nothing underhanded or sneaky about what Steve is doing. I don't want anyone to bad mouth him undeserving

Maybe you have misunderstood what happened here. The "lots of shite" was a precaution to confirm the site was legit, nobody, ever, cast doubts on Steve, don't blame that on us and reread the posts. We even even admitted being in fault. So please refrain from turning the intent to protect members and avoid scams in shite-talking.

Please step it down a notch. NOBODY here said anything AGAINST Steve. No one. As suggested before, re-read and you'll find no negative statements on him. Not one. The subject in discussion was the existence and legitimacy of a spin-off site most people were not aware of. PERIOD.

Unfortunately, misinterpretation of the written word (lacking as it does the critical additional nuances of facial and tonal expression), leads time and again to misunderstandings and subsequent squabbling.
