Well, technically he is right LoL.

A spring can be fully wound, it cannot be "overwound."

i recently received my 111. I see what you mean about resistance. I know when to stop!

mine lasted like 48 hours or so. I looked down to check the time 3:45 checked later 3:45... wait. It should be around 4:30 ahaha. But I wind it everyday throughout the day. its something i do when bored or waiting now

36hrs brand new noob zero on full wind, approx 70 turns.
48 hrs brand new for 292k on full wind, approx 33-35 turns.

I read of 56hrs, none of mine get that mileage. Servicing will help? Not sure abt that....

My New Noob PAM 127 from Tony did from April 18th 13:45 till now 20th April 20:35. A whooping 55 hours and it's still moving. It's doing the same as GEN Calibre OPS XI which states 56hrs.
My goodness. Extremely satisfied.
Fully winded 60 rounds.

well, since I've just finished testing my Ferretti 247 (H-factory,got it new from a trusted dealer for around 170 bucks) and I haven't posted anything in this forum yet,I've decided to share my experience: the first time I wound the watch it lasted for about 20 hours.I stopped winding as soon as I felt the resistence and thought it would suffice (as a noob, I haven't had any experience with manual winding mechanisms before).Since 20 hours was far below the standard I've decided to check around learned I should keep winding untill the crown couldn't be turned any further. It took my about 70 turns, but here I am with astonishing 57 hours and a few minutes more!

interested in this as have a 111noob on order... how do the crown gaurds hold up to being opened and closed on a daily basis (or almost)? do they show signs of wear etc? think the 111n has the ball bearing type mechanism...

why would you need to open the crown guard everyday?
you wind it with the lever closed unless you're changing the time.
The crownguard on the noob is very good. lever isn't lose at all. The inside does get dusty, and sometimes water gets in when i wash my hands but no wear/tear yet. I've only had mine for 2 months though.

Eh, I open my cg lever to wind it. Otherwise the crown is rubbing against the lever base. The mote you wind the more you wear away the bottom of the lever or the crown, the less tight the lever holds against it and eventually you will lose water resistance. Never heard of anyone winding it with lever closed.
