Is there a reason why people change the crown on the JF subs to the gen? They seemed fine to me, but I may be missing something.
Honestly, I haven’t figured out any differences between gen, TC or JF while looking at them only. Although there might be some optical differences, I cannot tell them and I’m 100% sure that only 0,003% on earth will ever be able to tell from a optical point of view, that’s a rep crown. Anyway, if it comes to mechanics, there is a clear difference. Screwing and unscrewing is really smooth on gen ones and needs (as I’m correct) 2.5 turns each. JF one doesn’t have that and feels a bit like scratching something. Just my opinion... TC is quite good what I have had so far

Great post man. Do you think that a BP bezel assembly would fit on the JF case? I'm trying to think of a way to put a gen insert on a JF without getting a gen bezel assembly.
Thanks to this post, it's started...
Bye bye Kermit...
Because the postman has just been...
Hello Shark!
IMO TCv7
i see, but TC pieces are not gonna be easy, actually they are impossible to find, any other suggestion?
i see, thank you, i will eventually purchase the JF 16610 and start from there, i would add a gen datewheel and a better green insert, correct me if i'm wrong, but the JF insert is a bit olive, and i prefer the lime lighter color
As you can see in this thread, I bought a rep JF 16610LV insert some time ago that was stated as gen, possibly with a gen pearl. So maybe JF is an option as it’s good enough to fool. Color is a bit different but apart from that very w.
I do have this one still lying around and no time for all the bureaucracy to fight for my loss...maybe I would sell this for 100€ but honestly, this is just because of my personal imaginary value to this item... you can get from a TD way cheaper
