This is a different model than the one you ordered as this is a 005. However, it really does have a gen-like feel. It is very hard to tell some of the super reps apart from the gens. The strap makes quite a big difference and with a couple straps to choose from, one watch head will give you the feel of several watch choices!

I don't agree PAM reps are overpriced. I think PAM Super reps have one of the best ratio Quality/Price on the market. Try to get an AP ROO with similar quality or an HBB good quality.

The Gen PAM that I said overpriced Ale, I can justify Rolex, Omega, Breitling and JLC pricing but not Panerai current price.

well I used to own a gen pam 005, then got a rep 111 and I must say they feel the same on my wrist. It was so identical in 'feel' that I sold my gen 005 to fund for a gen IWC instead, and I never regretted that decision. IMO unless you really have the $$ or want a limited edition PAM (ie. bronzo), the super-reps would serve you well enough!

I agree, I think only bother with a Gen if it's like a one-off that you've always wanted or if you love a watch of which a super-rep is not available!

These super reps do feel like the gens. Even the first class ones. Just change the strap because they usually come with crappy straps.
Friends who have handled my reps were very impressed at the quality and feel of the watches.
