How do you remove links from a J12?

Just received my wife's second J12 and want to fit it to her wrist. The first J12 I took to the local mom/ pop shop around the corner to take out a link. Cost me $7. I want to know how to take it off myself. Does anyone know how?

You need a pin pusher and they are a pita!

It's so worth 7 dollars.

I agree with Coldi. The easy part is getting the pins out (which is still a pain if they're in tight). Getting them back in flush is a pain. I've sized two of them. I'd spend the $7.

The pin is in 2 parts.
At one end it's blank at at the other you've got a circle with a dot inside, push on the dot and the blank end will come out.
I stumble at first but it's actually quite easy.

Edit: Sorry, read the J12 too late so my how-to was for a different Omega. Still I'd do it myself any time.

Just finding a pin pusher skinny and strong enough to push it out without bending is the only hard part. I used a brad nail used for hanging pictures.

the pin you are using may be too big in diameter. I switched to the smallest pin and just used more force than I thought I should and the pin popped out.

once I got used to the feel of how much force was required, I pushed the remaining pins out without any drama. No links were damaged or chipped in the process and as a side bonus my gf thinks I'm a savant.

The pin Pusher i'm using is the same as the watchdoc's one.
All the pins have the same size.

I guess i'm just too retarded to figure it out. ( or there are multiple version of this bracelet with bigger pins or something )

The pin seems to be too big tho , if i use too much force , i'm just destroying it , and the link is still there like nothing never happened. :lolcina:

I'm having the same problem. That blue plastic pin removal tool is a piece of crap ! It's worthless on this watch. I don't have the other one shown. I'm taking it to get sized. Screw it.

So my wife finally got around to taking it to get sized. She says that the lady looked at it, opened up a book with watches and prices, and told her $25 bucks. She has no clue what these things cost , so she paid it. $25 freaking bucks. Ridiculous !
