I had the same issue, what I did was I hammer both sides of the clasp to tighten. Seems to work and it tightens the clasp and doesnt move anymore

My clasp is broken at the hinge, the weld is broken, I can use a clasp like yours and tinker with it to make it work, let me know if you want to get rid of it. These clasps are a PITA

Part five looks like a spring bar that you can fit but not remove

Hi guys,

since I recently broke my clasp and still have another one around that only partially fits, I'm trying to make a proper one out of the two.

Can anyone explain me how to remove that pin (part 3) without violence?

Thanks in advance!

You can ask it to go out. Nicely ask though, the pin is very sensitive..

Jokes aside, should be able to go out if you pull against it from one side with a screwdriver, toothpick or anything like that from my experience

Thanks buddy, already helped myself in the meantime and got it out.

Funny thing is that I usually used to help myself when I couldn't get the pin in, not the other way round.
