Sending my 009 to finepics as soon as I get my tabs and secure the movement. Mark has my 036 right now and is reluming.

I dont think i need to relume ..I jsut want to enjoy the watch...but maybe later on...some service offer in down under ..who knows...its reallyy down under here...so its very hard to get someone to relume for me ...

about my 202a dial...i would love to scrap the t swiss t at the bottom of it..but I cant do it myself..so I need someone that can do that ...which I dont think ..anyone from this very down under...ermmm

in my opinion there is no why to relume it...the other dial that i have from him have a ok glow for a vintage...so no worry about it....

I'd say deluming if anything, 1993-98 tritium is pretty weak as, stuff in 2006 ... A little colour added to the existing indexes to give them a more Tritium tan, and a neutral toning down of the superlumed hands would give a gen look, but keep the hand lume white.

You listen to stories of PANERISTI that get their GENs relumed and the investment in their watch just plunges as the thing comes back Luminova indexes glowing away, and looking like a $100 rep, I see no reason to want a copy of that?!

Thanks., this is exactly what I'm talking about. Delume is sort of what I meant.. not sure who can perform this service for me though..I don't want to ruin my watch by doing it myself.

tritium, winding movement

Yeah, I'm leaving mine be - just get it 'oiled'. I like the 'tan' idea but not game to try that out on my new watch!

Speaking of which, the first batch was ostensibly Swiss, but in winding sure sounds noisier than my 111H CDG Swiss, more like a CN movement's. Are others finding their's noisy?

I mean that the winding is noisy, the movement is OK - sorry for the misunderstanding

What was the method you used to obtain those results?

I see that you were studying the mediastinum and got distracted. ;) What a coincidence as I am revising over Netters at this very moment on thorax. Med school I presume?

Sorry for straying off topic guys...

ooooops, not been checking this post. :)

yupz, the hands were overdone, but i can easily remove the paint with thinner..but i'll leave it as it is now cause i like the way it looks, non matching is a lil too funky for me. :)

the strap WAS a worjeckti light tan with black stitch..got it early last year from someone in the P site..now it has aged to a deep, rich brown. still stinks wonderfully!(u'll know what i mean if u've had one..)

how was the mod done? i removed the top part of the sandwich, coloured the indices tan then coated it with white..then i smeared semisolid mink oil over the indices and replaced the top part of the dial..the mink oil gives the indices the oily, grainy texture while minimising the sandwich look. :)

quarks-yup! i'm in yr 1 med. looooong way to go..u?

but mink oil is organic, will there be any side effects if the dial got heated up?
