Horrible Experience with Hontwatch

This review has been long overdue. I work and travel a lot. Anyways

I ordered a Paneria 111 and I had the worst experience ever. The watch stopped working all together and lost a screw.

I tried taking it to a watch repair shop in center city and right away the guy looked at it for a second and said it was a cheap junky knockoff. He didn't even need to look at it for 2 seconds.

Hont would not refund me or replace.

Send it to an approved repairer, most "craftsmen watchsmiths" will say the exact same thing for various reasons but admitting rep's exist and they are prepared to work on them is bad for business.

However, do remember that it is a replica watch and unfortunate though it is, it is not uncommon to develop a fault or three ;)

Ya most watchsmiths will not touch a rep. However, 6497 movements are the same, for the most part. The Asian movements can take swiss parts so why he wouldn't touch it I can not say.

Most dealers will not take it back if they know you have already tried to modify or have a watch worked on.

When did you tell hont of the problem? When you got it? Did he offer any type of discount on the next order or offer to fix it if you shipped it back?

Why do these things always seem to happen to members with less than 10 posts?

:hehehe:

Yea, but the watch broke in a few months. Stopped working completely.. Meanwhile the seller didn't try fixing it or making it right.

I joined this forum did some research and figured I'd buy with Hont because he was a reputable seller.

I will post a video and photos of this watch later tonight. And I'm sorry for the low post count. I work a lot (No time to sit on a forum and post)

Generally all the dealers will offer to fix it for free but you have to pay the shipping costs back to China. That's standard operating procedure. Often if you have it fixed at your expense many dealers will give a little discount on the next purchase.

I think that's a pretty reasonable warranty for an illegal product bought on the Internet. I didn't get that on my last order of bogus viagra. JK!

No need to post pics of your bust watch - shit happens when buying reps. Deal with it. It's not the suppliers fault.

You need to manage your own expectations when buying a warehouse assembled illegal, fake watch.

FYI, My real Rolex Daytona has been back twice for gaining time. (8200.00...when I bought I) My replica was keeping better time. It's a mass produced product , sometimes you have failures. the guy I use now retired from Rolex. he actually appreciates some of the clones I have shown him. he still can't get over how much the quality has gone up over his years. ( he has seen many that were sent in as legit and had clone parts installed in real cases. ( of course those were not worked on) Give Hont a chance, he's a good guy and I have never had any issues. However understand , your not buying a 8000.00 watch. ( and even those break) use one of the repair techs on the boards here, they will get you fixed up.

I maintain good communication with Hont and have been talking to him on the phone many times. He is solid. From your original post, it seems to me that you have yet to get in touch with him before you establish a judgment that Hont will not deal with your issues. What has been behind your courage to be so judgmental? Is that you have had very good experience from other dealers or are you comparing hont with ADs?

OP...give Hont a chance to correct the problem...

I have ordered several watches from Hont for over 4 years. I will post a long overdue review when I get my latest order...but as for after service...Hont has been great for me!

My Blackbird's big date wheels got out of whack and were not changing properly...24th would go to 35th etc. I thought it was going to be a loss since I had the watch for at least a year maybe 18 months. Emailed Hont, he said send it back, he repaired it and sent it back it perfect working order.

My BP BLNR crown and stem came out and the keyless got messed up...sent it back and it came back in my latest batch working perfectly again.

I have had Chanel J12 issues...one lost the crown ceramic cap and another had a broken minute pinion...he has sent me a replacment ceramic piece to glue onto the crown and he sent a whole new watch for the broken pinion watch. He also N
never even asked for the broken watch back.

I don't know if any other dealers would agree to fix a watch after a year (for sure the cartel dealers specify less than 1 year)...but Hont does...yeah...it's a PITA to send a watch back to China and is a 4-6 week ordeal sending it back and waiting for it to come back.

Hont is very very good when it comes to after-sale services. I ring him direct and send him faulty watches for repair. Never let you down.

Hi guys,

I ordered with Hont for a PAM 111 V3 noob (my first rep)
made payment on 7/5/2015 via WU, received notification from WU that Hont has picked up my payment transfer the very next day.
He mentioned to me that he will send me QC pics upon picking up my payment.
However, up till now i have not heard from him at all, no QC pics, no email replies, no calls, nothing.
I am even more worried after reading a previous reply from a forum member saying problems seem to happen on new members with 10 posts or less.
Can anyone tell me if something is wrong? :/

Everything is good and I love my new rep.
Thanks to Hont again for arranging everything. :)
