Any one have a sense on the timing of the "final" release?
So far this is the only watch I want from 2013.
Has it been a slow year or is it just me?

Live1, it would seem you have a real downer on the new Noob Sub. Like I said, I dont really give a rats feck what anyone thinks, I love it, a wearing it, and its stunning.
I take it, your entire slaughtering of this watch, is based on a few images you've seen on the web? Have you actually seen one in the flesh, as I'd assume by your, "have they, will they" questions, you have indeed not.
Like I said, I love it, and I honestly cannot wait to see what you have to day about the V2.

I like this proto. Tiny flaws and all. It's in the running to become my second Rollie rep. Thanks for sharing!

Dude! I remember back in the day when u bought a sub rep u had to accept it was just a fake semblance of a rolex, u cod list the flaws because the entire representation was farrrrr from gen. But now.....This is the golden age of reps people! Cheers to A1fru... We are spoiled as collectors and I'm loving it!

Often they touch the rehaut only in some places on gen too. In my understanding, they are not supposed to touch the rehaut at all. Its all a matter of having to get the dial 100% in the middle, which i nearly impossible.

check this 16613 for instance, which clearly has the dial too far upwards

On this 16610, you can see it has a small black line between rehaut and indices-ends , and it appears to be more or less 100% centered.

As I said, I actually think that there's supposed to be a small "black rim" and that the indices are NOT supposed to touch the rehaut, something the above 16610 supports. Many gens have small allignment issues on many things, like 12 hour triangle on insert not exactly at 12, cyclop a hair off center, etc. Each watch has its own tolerances, and most people will never notice. But we as nerds become obsessed with these minor "flaws", but we have to remember which of these are also typical for gen. To me dial print and shine is much much more important.

The noob dials are generally really nice, esp. when it comes to amount of shine, and print quality/font - very crisp and I cannot tell the difference between my old sub-c and my mates gen, when it comes to the dial. The rims are fatter than one might think on the gen maxis thought not as tall as the noob, which is visible from an angle.

The old noob 16610 dial was imo spot on in every aspect. The sub-c still leaves a little bit, but its massively better than BP's. Can't wait to see this newest update in person.

Thats always been my understanding. There should be a minute' uniformed gap between the markers and rehaut. As mrt says, if they're touching it would seem the dial were not set PDC (pure dead centre) cheers
