Higher volume of the custom issues noticed after new administration in CONUS?

Or just my coincidental anecdotes?

I recently ordered several items (non watches) from China and two items have been either under review or detained in the custom. It never happened to me before so I'm now worried about the TD order I made in June. What should I expect about custom clearance from now on? Any observation or thoughts on this?

I had a watch come into the USA, stop in Illinois, 5 hours from me in Michigan, then make its way across the country to California, then work its way back to Illinois. Has been sitting in customs for for almost two weeks. Says processed through, but no movement. hard to be patient when you don’t know the outcome.
